David Sedaris returns to one of his favorite cities, Seattle, from January 5-11, 2018. For 7 consecutive evenings, Sedaris will delight Seattle audiences with workshop readings at the Broadway Performance Hall from his soon-to-be-published essay collection Calypso. The intimate 295-seat setting allows audience members to be up-close-and-personal with Sedaris as he polishes the final draft and answers questions from the audience. All workshop readings begin at 7pm with one 2pm matinee on Sunday, January 7, 2018.

Today he is still a working actor in demand and is a member of Group rep Theatre in NoHo where he is currently rehearsing their next production of A Midsummer Night's Dream to open November 17. Singer will play Oberon and also direct the piece. He took time out of his busy schedule to sit down and talk about his love of Shakespeare, Midsummer and some of his career highlights.

Black Girl Magic Show! is an absurdist dance theatre lecture by playwright/performer nicHi douglas on Black female identity. Utilizing African Diasporan histories, Black feminist theory, and a lot of stuff douglas made up, she attempts to unpack, re-pack, and de-pack the Black female experience in America as witnessed by one Black woman - The Professor. As the audience follows The Professor, they discover what might happen if the one Black girl without 'Black Girl Magic' takes matters into her own hands. Before the show ends, the audience experiences a TED-type talk, modern dance, a magic routine, and a concert, often simultaneously. And they probably see at least 20 wigs.
