The 42nd annual edition of the Chicago area's Bach Week Festival will feature all six of J. S. Bach's beloved 'Brandenburg' Concertos, performed in the course of concerts April 10 at Nichols Concert Hall in Evanston and May 1 and 3 at Anderson Chapel at North Park University on Chicago's North Side. The festival is a collaboration between Bach Week and North Park's School of Music. This will be the first Bach Week Festival to present the complete 'Brandenburg' Concerto cycle. Two of the concertos will anchor each principal concert program, alongside other Bach compositions. An intimate, late-evening Candlelight Concert in Evanston on April 10 will offer music for recorder and theorbo, another festival first.

Town Hall Theater will be hosting an evening of waltzing and live music February 7th with the Champlain Philharmonic Orchestra. Free waltz lessons start at 6:15 for anyone who wants to waltz, but doesn't know how or for those who want to brush up their steps. The live music starts at 7 pm with Champlain Philharmonic's small ensembles. At 8 pm, the full orchestra takes the stage to fill the room with some of the world's most famous waltzes.

Middlebury's Town Hall Theater has gained a reputation for producing exciting plays, musicals and operas. But the show that draws the largest crowd every year is the annual flea market and antiques sale, The Fabulous Flea Market, which arrives at the theater today, September 20, from 9 am to 2 pm.
Opera Company of Middlebury is known for taking chances with its full-scale productions in June, tackling less-seen works like Massenet's Thaïs and Puccini's La Rondine. In the fall it turns to the operatic “war horses,” producing concert versions that are elegantly staged and dramatically incisive.
