BLOOD BROTHERS Concert Set for 54 Below On June 28th, Donna Lynne Champlin, Robert Lenzi and More to Star!

On June 28th, Feinstein's/54 Below will present an one-night-only concert of the popular British musical Blood Brothers. Singing the beautiful score will be Beau Cassidy (whose father, David Cassidy, starred in the Broadway production) as Mickey, Donna Lynne Champlin (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Taming of the Shrew) as Mrs. Johnstone,  Robert Lenzi (Tuck Everlasting) as Sammy, Collin Kelly-Sordelet (The Last Ship) as Eddie, and more to be announced soon. 

20 YoungArts Foundation Winners Selected as 2016 U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) congratulates the 52nd class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, announced today by U.S. Secretary of Education John King. The 20 U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts-one of the nation's highest honors for high school students and all of whom are YoungArts Winners-were nominated to The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars for their artistic achievement, and selected based on academic and artistic accomplishments, leadership responsibilities, community service and outreach initiatives, and overall creativity.

New York Musical Festival Adds New Productions, Readings & More to 2016 Slate

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), previously known as The New York Musical Theater Festival, announced today additional productions and special events for NYMF 2016. THE GOLD, SINGLE, CAMP ROLLING HILLS, LUDO'S BROKEN BRIDE, ARTEMIS IN THE PARKING LOT, CRUDE, and MOLLY MURPHY & NEIL DEGRASSE TYSON ON OUR LAST DAY ON EARTHjoin the previously announced new musicals that will be presented at the 2016 New York Musical Festival from July 11 through August 7 in various venues in Midtown Manhattan. The Public Theater announced complete casting today for the 2016 Free Shakespeare in the Park production of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, beginning performances on Tuesday, May 24 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Directed by Phyllida Lloyd, this all-female production is part of the global 400th anniversary celebration of William Shakespeare's life and death.
