JACK LEMMON 100, a two-week festival of classics from the 1950s to the 1990s, will run at Film Forum from Friday, May 16 to Thursday, May 29, in commemoration of Lemmon’s centennial year in 2025.

'Son Of Zeus' is one man's journey into the struggles and legacy of his family. A journey fraught with excessive male dominance and abuse.  As the son of a violent Greek immigrant who abused his mother, and the stepson of a mobster incarcerated for armed robbery and manslaughter, can Jimmy exorcise the demons and forge his own path?  

Don't wait until you hear it through the grapevine, tickets for the Possum Point Players' fundraiser, "A Night of Motown Hits - Classic Soul," are what's going on, and they are going fast. Fewer than 40 tickets remain for the Saturday, Oct. 27 performance and attention is turning to the Sunday, Oct. 28 matinee.

It was fitting that the World Premiere of "A Voice Among the Silent" was held in the only United States synagogue to be honored with a papal visit in 2008, when Pope Benedict XVI was hosted by the the congregation and Rabbi Arthur Schneier. This eye opening documentary about James McDonald, the son of Catholic immigrants, was almost lost to history until his meticulously kept diaries were discovered in 2003.

Caroline Sorokoff, Director of the Gold Coast International Film Festival announced today that 'A Voice Among the Silent: The Legacy of James G. McDonald,' a new documentary by Shuli Eshel about James G. McDonald, a U.S. diplomat who helped rescue Jewish refugees from the Nazis, will have its world premiere in New York with two showings on October 19th and 20th, 2014.
