Marriage, thy name is compromise. But when a family's core values are hypocrisy, lies, denial and enabling, it's a fair bet that relationships will be strained to the breaking point, as aptly demonstrated in the world premiere of Gene Ruffini's bittersweet drama TO LOVE AND TO CHERISH. Directed by Jessica Zweiman and produced by Theater for the New City, the play will begin performances at the company's Cino Theater at the TNC complex, located at 155 First Avenue, beginning on September 3rd.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) are pleased to announce Tony Award winner Garry Hynes will direct the upcoming production of EQUIVOCATION which is a part of Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming 2009-2010 Off-Broadway season at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

Producers Angelo Fraboni and Daryl Roth have announced that the New York premiere of Vigil, written by Morris Panych and directed by Stephen DiMenna, will begin performances Sunday, September 20, at 3pm at the DR2 Theatre, 103 East 15 Street, east of Union Square. The opening is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29 at 7pm.

Autumn Fruits are a ripe and tasty treat in the 7th Annual Fresh Fruit Festival. Autumn Fruits, two short plays about growing old in New York, written by Barbara Kahn and Suellen Rubin, will be performed Friday July 24, 2009 at 7:30pm and Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 2:30pm.

In addition to showing us the relationship between an aspiring young writer and her teacher/mentor, COLLECTED STORIES also examines issues of ownership regarding ones' own life story. It's a compelling and engaging tale, and The Orange Girls have put together a wonderfully realized production that features a pair of exceptional performances.

The production had previously been announced to play MTC's New York City Center - Stage I.
