Penobscot Theatre Company will close its 44th subscription series with The Spitfire Grill, staging 14 performances April 26 through May 13, at the historic Bangor Opera House. Based on the popular 1996 film of the same name, this heartwarming musical is a collaboration between librettist and lyricist Fred Alley (Guys on Ice andLumberjacks in Love) and composer James Valcq. The plot follows a young woman with a mysterious past to rural Gilead where she finds more than she thought possible at the best (and only) restaurant in town.

Performances will run June 14-July 8 at the Bangor Opera House. Penobscot Theatre Company subscribers, including half-season, snowbird, and FlexPass subscribers, receive $5 off the regular price of $38 per adult. The 'tale as old as time' of 'Beauty and the Beast' is one that has delighted young and old for generations including patrons of The Penobscot Theatre Company in Bangor. This family-friendly musical runs from December 7th - 30th. Directed by Ethan Paulini, this presentation of Disney's classic doesn't disappoint. The show was such a hit that two additional performances were added for both December 27th and 30th.
