The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces the biennial festival New Visions/New Voices from April 27-29, 2018, marking the 15th showcase of this industry workshop.

Lena Hall, a singular artist who authentically and explosively brings the worlds of Rock and Broadway together, is releasing a series of EPs every month in 2018. The OBSESSED series features stripped-down vocal-intensive covers of one artist/band with whom Lena is 'obsessed.' Park City Institute Executive Director Teri Orr, tonight, announced the 2018 St Regis Big Stars Bright Nights Concert Series. The announcement marks the 15th consecutive season of outdoor concerts presented by the Institute. The venue for this summer's series of shows, will be confirmed in May.

The Staten Island Museum hold its annual fundraiser on May 18, celebrating a new era in leadership and honorees that epitomize commitment to community. The honorees are Ralph Branca, Staten Island Museum's immediate past Board Chairman and CEO of Victory State Bank; historian, educator, and professional genealogist Debbie-Ann Paige; and Jee Ra, principal of the Korean School of Staten Island and program director of the Korean Community Development Center. Gala co-chairs are Kashif Pervez and Oswaldo Pena. This year's annual gala is the first under the leadership of recently appointed President and CEO Janice Monger, who began her tenure in September 2017.

I never saw Sister Act, the Musical when it was on Broadway, but now this is my second Westchester go round with this musical. It certainly makes sense for Westchester Broadway Theatre especially to mount it since it gives a unified group of nuns the chance to belt and let their habits down to a 60's themed score.

EXQUISITA AGONÍA -- the newest work by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz (ANNA IN THE TROPICS) - has announced casting for the play's world premiere engagement at the esteemed Off-Broadway theater, Repertorio Español (138 E. 27 St.) in Manhattan, according to the company's Executive Producer Robert Federico. Preview performances begin May 25 prior to official press opening on May 30. Repertorio Español performs in Spanish, with English simultext optional at every seat in the company's 140-seat theater.

Art Directors Guild (ADG) and American Cinematheque kick off the 2018 ADG Film Society Screening Series with a A Tribute To CEDRIC GIBBONS, MGM'S Oscar®-winning Supervising Art Director, featuring a special screening of GRAND HOTEL (1932). A conversation will follow exploring the legacy of Gibbons' work and spotlighting in the Golden Age of Hollywood socialites. A short tribute film will be shown depicting the range of Gibbons extraordinary work and his enduring contributions to design and Art Deco in cinema. The ADG Film Society Series is sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter. 

Bad Wolves and From Ashes to New have announced the What's In Your Head Tour, a co-headline tour featuring support from special guest and label-mate Diamante. Beginning on June 4th in Madison Wisconsin, this intimate club tour stretches across North America, including stops in Chicago, New York, and Minneapolis.

 Walnut Street Theatre is pleased to announce that it will honor Walnut Street Theatre Trustee Ronald Bowlan with the 2018 Edwin Forrest Award at the theatre's annual Gala. The evening's events will begin with a 90-minute concert filled with Philadelphia's most cherished stars singing America's musical favorites and patriotic numbers. Performers include: Schyler Conaway, Christopher DeProphetis, Jennie Eisenhower, Melissa Joy Hart, Jessica Johnson, Jesse Jones, Mary Martello, Kathryn Miller, Cary Michele Miller, Ellie Mooney, Nichalas L. Fort Lauderdale Mayor and LGBTQ Advocate Dean Trantalis will be the recipient of the first-ever Pride Center at Equality Park 'Alan Schubert Award of Excellence ' during the fourth annual Diversity Honors presented by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida at 7 p.m. on April 27 at the Hard Rock Event Center. The globally renowned gala benefitting Harvey Milk Foundation and The Pride Center at Equality Park will also recognize Dolores Huerta, preeminent leader of the Latino, Labor and Women's Civil Rights Movement, with the Harvey Milk Foundation Honors Medal plus honor Craig Stevens, WSVN-TV anchor, David Richardson, Florida State Representative serving District 113 and current primary candidate for Congress in Florida's 27th District and the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Gay-Straight Alliance for their local efforts in making a significant impact on improving the quality of life for the LGBTQ community.

Women Filmmakers: Immigrant Stories, the acclaimed screening series featuring films directed and/or produced by women telling the stories of NYC immigrants, returns for a fourth season. Funded by the city's Department of Cultural Affairs, City Council Member Robert Holden and City Council Member Joseph Borelli as part of the Cultural Immigrant Initiative of the New York City Council, this year's Immigrant Stories Series has expanded to include programs in both Queens and Staten Island.

On March 16, 1968, Robert F. Kennedy declared his candidacy for President of the United States in the U.S. Senate Caucus Room, the exact location where his late brother John F. Kennedy had proclaimed his candidacy in 1960. Today, which marks 50 years to that day, Netflix announced that acclaimed director Dawn Porter's (Gideon's Army, Spies of Mississippi, Trapped) new original documentary series Bobby Kennedy For President will launch globally on April 27, 2018.

GRAND HOTEL (1932) will launch the Art Directors Guild (ADG) Film Society's 2018 screening series with a spotlight on CEDRIC GIBBONS, MGM'S Legendary Oscar®-winning Supervising Art Director with a record 11 Academy Awards® and 38 nominations, at the Aero Theatre on Sunday, April 22. Gibbons legendary film honors include Singin' In The Rain (1952), An American In Paris(1951), Pride And Prejudice (1940), The Wizard of Oz (1939) and The Great Ziegfeld (1936). He designed the iconic gold Oscar statuette and influenced the architecture of the majestic movie palaces. The annual 2018 Screening Series “Production Design: Designers On Design,”highlighting the work of renowned Production Designers and their creative collaborations, is in association with American Cinematheque and sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter.
