Celebrating the centennial of Alan Jay Lerner, The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, is proud to announce that its acclaimed Musicals in Mufti series will celebrate the work of the legendary librettist and lyricist Alan Jay Lerner, whose hundredth birthday was August 31, 2018. The series honors one of the creators behind such classics as Brigadoon, Camelot, Love Life, and My Fair Lady.

Park City Institute announced its 21st season of Main Stage shows at the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Center for the Performing Arts. Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference (AFF), the premier film festival recognizing the writers' contributions to film, television, and new media, announced today the full schedule of films and panels for the 25th Anniversary festival, this October 25-November 1. AFF's feature film slate includes 23 World, North American, and US Premieres, a robust retrospective series, and highly anticipated marquee titles, including Steve McQueen's and Gillian Flynn's modern-day thriller Widows, Peter Farrelly's dramedy period piece Green Book starring Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen, Mike Leigh's period piece Peterloo,  Mickey Rourke-starring boxing drama Tiger, Paul Dano's Wildlife starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Carey Mulligan, and Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges family drama Ben is Back bowing as AFF's Centerpiece selection, with writer/director Peter Hedges in attendance.

Following the successes of her Pulitzer Prize-winning The Flick and her haunting and enigmatic John, Stray Cat once again brings the latest work by in-house favorite playwright Annie Baker. An unnamed conference room. A group of creators on an intense and intensely surreal brainstorming session for unspecified purposes. All we know is that these people are being asked to keep coming up with stories - the more personal the better - in the hopes that something will jell and move their project - whatever that may be - forward.

Oxford, Mississippi's Kate Teague is gearing up for her North American tour and today is releasing her newest offering, the yacht-meets-slacker rock, “Gilly”. An immensely personal song with ubiquitous emotional underpinnings Teague says that “a loved one of mine was going through a difficult time while living away from most of her friends/family. I wrote this in an effort to make sense of the pain she was experiencing, and to console her considering I couldn't be there for her in person.”

Advance Base has shared a video for 'Christmas In Nightmare City,' the latest from his upcoming album, Animal Companionship. Talkhouse premiered the video today along with an essay penned by Owen Ashworth about song and video's conception. Animal Companionship is available for pre-order now and due out 9/21 via Run For Cover and Ashworth's own Orindal Records.

Stagecrafters current production is anything but tame, it's wild!
