On Monday, April 4th, the Theater People podcast welcomes Emmy nominated choreographer Spencer Liff. As a performer, Liff made his Broadway debut at age 11 in the musical BIG. He went on to appear in THE WEDDING SINGER, CRY BABY, EQUUS, and 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL, taking on more and more responsibility along the way. He was the Associate Choreographer and Dance Captain for CRY BABY, and was the Dance Captain on EQUUS.
On Monday, March 28th, the Theater People podcast welcome's Broadway favorite and Fiddler on the Roof's Motel, Adam Kantor. The actor made his Broadway debut in 2008 as Mark in the closing cast of the Tony winning musical RENT directed by Michael Greif. The director, a mentor to Kantor, went on to cast him as a replacement in the role of Henry in the hit Broadway musical NEXT TO NORMAL.

On Monday, February 22, the Theater People podcast welcomes Broadway favorite Sierra Boggess, currently starring the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical SCHOOL OF ROCK. Boggess made her Broadway debut in 2008 in the title role of the Disney musical THE LITTLE MERMAID. She went on to star in the Broadway revival of MASTER CLASS, opposite Tyne Daily, before heading to London's West End to originate the role of Christine Daae in Andrew Lloyd Webber's LOVER NEVER DIES, the sequel to THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
The Metropolitan Opera's 2016-17 season, the 50th anniversary of its home at Lincoln Center, will feature 225 opera performances of 26 operas in a varied repertory that ranges from 18th century masterpieces to one of the most acclaimed operas in recent years. Repertoire for the company's 132nd season will include the Met premiere of Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho's 2000 opera L'Amour de Loin, as well as new stagings of Wagner's Tristan und Isolde, Rossini's Guillaume Tell, Gounod's Romeo et Juliette, Dvo?ak's Rusalka, and Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier. A gala concert on May 7, 2017 will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company's Lincoln Center location with performances by opera's leading stars honoring the Met's past and future. Ticket prices will not increase, remaining the same as in the current season, and audience development programs instituted by the company in recent years will continue.

Shemade her Broadway debut in 2004 as the Glinda stanby in the Broadway production of WICKED, before she eventually took over the role full time. On Broadway Scott has starred as Christine in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, garnering nominations for a Tony Award, a Drama Desk Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award; Amneris in Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida (2000), for which she won the Clarence Derwent Award and was a Drama League Honoree; Sally in Tommy (1993); Marty in Grease (1995-96); Maureen in Rent (1997); and originated the role of Ursula in The Little Mermaid (2007). In 2010 Scott starred in the critically acclaimed production Everyday Rapture, which Scott wrote with co-author Dick Scanlan. She most recently starred as Pepa in the musical adaptation of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.
On Monday, February 1st, Theater People Podcast welcomes SCHOOL OF ROCK star Alex Brightman. Before being cast in the leading role in the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Brightman made his Broadway debut as an understudy in GLORY DAYS (the show that infamously closed on its opening night). He went on to replace in the role of Boq in the Broadway company of WICKED, Michael Wormwood in the Broadway company of MATILDA, and then joined the original Broadway company of BIG FISH.

Second Stage Theatre's 37th Anniversary Gala celebration will honor Producer DAVID STONE, celebrating his ongoing 12 year relationship with the Off-Broadway Company. The evening's Honorary Chair is James M. Nederlander and the Co-Chairs are Marc Platt, Patrick Catullo, and Nancy Coyne. The gala evening, which will be directed by James Lapine, will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Cipriani 42nd Street. The evening's entertainment, which will feature stars who have appeared in Stone's productions over the years, will be announced at a later date. This is the first time Second Stage's annual gala will be honoring a Broadway producer.

According to Out, Dick Scanlan and Sheri Rene Scott's play, Whorl Inside a Loop, which played earlier this fall at Second Stage Theater, is coming to Broadway. Michael Musto writes, 'I ran into three-time Tony nominee Sherie Rene Scott, who told me that Whorl Inside a Loop, the Off-Broadway play she recently cowrote and starred in, is moving to Broadway.'
Scott told him: 'We were working it out today. It's moving with a star.'
On Monday, November 30, the Theater People podcast welcomes Broadway favorite Elizabeth Stanley. She is currently headlining the first national tour of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY in the role of Francesca. Stanley made her Broadway debut as April in the 2006 John Doyle helmed production of COMPANY. She went on to originate the role of Allison in CRY BABY, and then Dyanne in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. She was most recently seen on Broadway as Claire in last year's Tony-nominated ON THE TOWN.
