Popular tenor Anthony Kearns will be a guest performer in PBS's National Memorial Day Concert, which has become a national tradition over the past 25 years. This year's program will be a tribute to America's men and women in uniform, their families, and all those who have given their lives for our country. The event will be broadcast from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Sun., May 25, 2014 from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Eastern time.

White's timeless children's novel, with music by Tony Award-winning composer, Jason Robert Brown. Norman and Brown are also currently represented on Broadway with the new musical adaptation of The Bridges of Madison County.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents The Trumpet of the Swan, A Novel Symphony for Actors and Orchestra, adapted by Marsha Norman from E.B. White's timeless children's novel, with music by composer, Jason Robert Brown. Norman and Brown are also currently represented on Broadway with the new musical adaptation of The Bridges of Madison County. The Trumpet of the Swan, part of the Jack Elliott Family Concert Series, runs for a limited engagement, this weekend, May 2 - 4, 2014 at the Bram Goldsmith Theater.

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for recent Tony Award-winning comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Appearing in titles roles are Resident Actor Jeffrey Bean as Vanya, Sharon Lockwood returning to the Alley as Sonia, Alley Artist Josie de Guzman returning as Masha, and Resident Actor Jay Sullivan as Spike. Rounding out the cast and making their Alley debuts are Rachael Holmes as Cassandra and Sarah Nealis as Nina. Jonathan Moscone, Artistic Director of California Shakespeare Theater, helms the production and returns after having directed the Alley's 2011 production of Amadeus.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, announced today that its acclaimed production of David Ives' THE HEIR APPARENT, adapted from the play by Jean-Francois Regnard, will extend through Sunday, May 11 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). Directed by John Rando, THE HEIR APPARENT features Suzanne Bertish (Madame Argante), Carson Elrod (Crispin), Claire Karpen (Lisette), Amelia Pedlow (Isabelle), David Pittu (Scruple), Dave Quay (Eraste) and Paxton Whitehead (Geronte).

MCC THEATER has announced that indie film star Greta Gerwig will now be joined by Max Baker, Jason Butler Harner, Lucy Owen, Cara Seymour, and Scott Shepherd in the American premiere of Penelope Skinner's celebrated play The Village Bike, the final production of MCC's 2013-14 Main Stage season. This completes casting. The Village Bike-which begins rehearsals today-will be directed by Sam Gold, who recently directed the much-raved new musical Fun Home and this season's The Realistic Jones on Broadway. The Village Bike will premiere at The Lucille Lortel Theatre(121 Christopher Street, NYC) beginning May 22, 2014 with an official opening on June 10, 2014. The Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced today a one-night-only event, From Screen to Stage: Bullets Over Broadway, on Monday, May 5 at 6:30PM. The evening will include a screening of an archival print of Woody Allen's rollicking Oscar-winning jazz-age ensemble comedy Bullets Over Broadway, followed by a conversation with five-time Tony-winning director/choreographer Susan Stroman and lead producers Letty Aronson and Julian Schlossberg. The event celebrates the April opening of Bullets over Broadway: The Musical, starring Zach Braff and Marin Mazzie, at the St. James Theatre.
