One of NY's hottest theaters is stepping up it's late night game. Ensemble Studio Theatre is in its second season of LAST CALL, and the theatre has had tons of off-Broadway and Broadway performers showcasing their hidden talents.

The 10th Annual New York Innovative Theatre Awards Ceremony will celebrate the Off-Off-Broadway Theatre community and honor this past season's greatest achievements. The awards will be presented by celebrities from the theatre community at large.

Mermaid Sand Productions and Breezy Prodcutions present PORNOLOGUES- An evening of monologues benefitting the upcoming production of All's Well That Ends Happy by Sarah Shaefer. The event is set for tonight, August 4, 2014. Doors open at 6:45PM, performance begins at 7:30PM

Lucy Knows Love (NYC style) is the latest comedy web series to be launched from STAGE17.tv. The series is written by and starring Broadway's Susan Louise O'Connor (Blithe Spirit) as Lucy Saunders. Single gal turned married lady takes her Dayton, OH talk show to streets of NYC helping random strangers with what she knows best-LOVE. It's Lucy Knows Love (NYC Style) and boy is she fantastic. With her canny ability to assess the problems of even strangers on the street, there is nothing stopping Lucy from working her magic on the love-troubled souls in the greatest city in the world. Theaterspeak will present WRITE OUT FRONT, an installation of over 125 award-winning and up-and-coming playwrights writing new plays in the storefront window of the Drama Book Shop during store hours, today, August 1st - 31st. In each two-hour time slot for WRITE OUT FRONT, a different playwright will write a new play on a laptop, while the screen shot of their computer is projected onto a 42' monitor facing the passersby on the street, making their normally private creative process public.

On Monday, July 21, 2014, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 10 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2014 nominees at its annual event. Celebrating ten years and thousands of nominees, the IT PARTY took place at XL Night Club, 512 West 42nd Street.

Ivy Theatre Company presents the world premiere of The Feminism of a Soft Merlot or (How the Donkey Got Punched), an original play by award-winning playwright, Micheline Auger (recipient of the 2012 Paul Green Award) and directed by Audrey Alford. Dedicated to dynamic storytelling that explores the human condition in a visceral way, Ivy Theatre Company is working with Funny... Sheesh Productions in a space sharing partnership to promote artistic union and collaboration within the New York City independent theatre scene. In addition to sharing a space, the companies will be using the same production team and uniting their promotional efforts, as well as, hosting a joint fundraiser. The Feminism of a Soft Merlot or (How the Donkey Got Punched) is proudly published by Indie Theater Now.

A revival of the rock/pop-punk/cabaret music of world touring MING DYNASTY, last seen on City Stages in 2009 alongside Diana Ross, Ben Harper, and Al Green, now brings new front woman Diana Oh and bassist/songwriter Philippe Arman to the stage. The story of how this new collaboration was formed fuses old songs and new and is led by veterans Eric Miranda, Kole Smith and Matt Harrington.
