Upcoming MTI Shows - 8/21 for Toronto

On August 21st, at 9pm at The Living Room at 154 Ludlow St, The Cast of Jersey Boys is singing selections from The Hall And Oates songbook, including hits like: Maneater, Private Eyes, Rich Girl, You Make My Dreams, and many more.

In November, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR will open at La Jolla Playhouse with Des McAnuff directing. However, no plans are confirmed on it's expected move to Broadway, according to Sign On San Diego.

Broadway's Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning JERSEY BOYS, will be featured on PIX 11 (WPIX-TV)'s 'Curtain UP' Broadway Week on Tuesday, August 23 in the 8:30am EST half hour.

Tony Award winner Ben Vereen is traveling from Los Angeles to Houston, Texas today to be a special guest performer in The Musical Theatre of Houston's JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. Vereen will star as Pontius Pilate in a production directed and choreographed by Aaron Callies. The curtain rises for two shows August 19-20 at the Wortham Brown Theatre at 8:00pm both evenings and will include a cast of Sam Brown as Jesus, Jacqueline Grady as Mary Magdalene, and Tommie Harper as Judas.

Production dates are August 11 through 28 with a press opening on Wednesday, August 17 at 7pm at BSC Mainstage, 30 Union Street, Pittsfield.

The show is currently playing in New York; Las Vegas; London; Sydney, Australia; in cities across the U.S. on a National Tour and it will open in Auckland, New Zealand in April, 2012. Today, Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post that the show will then head to Broadway this Spring, playing the Neil Simon Theatre.
