On Monday, March 9th, Bar URBO, the stylish cocktail lounge on the second floor of URBO in the Theater District, will relaunch its 'Lights Out on Broadway' series, inviting vocalists and musicians of the Broadway world to perform in a fun and casual environment on their night off. The live music series is free to attend and will take place every Monday night starting at 8 pm. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS fund.
On Dec. 1st at Playwright's Horizons, the Huntington's Disease Society of America, Greater NY Chapter held their annual Curtains Up For A Cure concert & silent auction with proceeds benefitting Huntington's Disease research. The concert was Produced by Meredith Patterson, who (among other Broadway credits) originated the role of Judy Haynes on Broadway in Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Ms. Patterson reprised her role last year in the 2013 Broadway National Tour.

Currently appearing as Sarabi in Disney's The Lion King on Broadway, Chondra Profit presents an evening of Jazz music including standards and not-so-standard, 'jazzed up' versions of top 40 hits ranging from My Funny Valentine to Beyonce's Love on Top.

CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but the cast of Broadway's THE LION KING was already hard a work recording their track for the album. The Providence return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, February 3 at 7:30PM at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, February 20.
Alton Fitzgerald White, who currently plays the starring role of Mufasa in Disney's 'Lion King' at Mandalay Bay, will present an evening of holiday music with two charity benefit concerts on Friday, Dec. 4 at the intimate Cabaret Showroom at the Liberace Museum, 1775 E. Tropicana Ave. at Spencer. White is donating all proceeds from ticket sales to benefit the Cabaret Fund for the non-profit Liberace Foundation & Museum
