Talks and events relating to Angels in America will begin with writer Tony Kushner, who will discuss the plays and his work in conversation with Ola Animashawun on 30 June. Andrew Garfield, who plays Prior Walter, and Denise Gough, who plays Harper Pitt, will then discuss their experiences of performing in the show in a talk chaired by Kate Bassett as well as award-winning director Marianne Elliot who will reflect on directing the show in conversation with Susannah Clapp, both on 3 July.

The first footage of Angels in America - hailed by critics as one of the theatre shows of the year - has been released ahead of its broadcast in cinemas next month as part of National Theatre Live. Part 1 will be in cinemas on Thursday 20th July and Part 2 on Thursday 27th July. London's National Theatre's revival of ANGELS IN AMERICA, starring Nathan Lane, may find its way across the pond to the Great White Way! 

The critically acclaimed SHOWTIME limited event seriesGUERRILLA will air its final two episodes back-to-back on Sunday, May 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on air, on demand and over the internet.

According to the New York Post, the National Theatre production of Angels in America might soon fly to Broadway. Michael Riedel writes: '"Angels" may well wind up at one of the nonprofits - Lincoln Center perhaps, or a limited run at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where Lane starred in a fine revival of "The Iceman Cometh" several years ago.'

Tony Kushner's landmark two-part play begins at a funeral, with a rabbi solemnly naming a woman's surviving relatives; partway through the interminable list of grandchildren, he stops and sighs. It's a witty opener for a piece that's epic in every conceivable sense of the word, taking almost eight hours to tackle not just state of the nation, but state of humanity and the divine. Though there's the odd lull, particularly in Kushner's baggier, wilder second part, Marianne Elliott's revival - 25 years after the influential National Theatre production - is a monumental achievement.

Yellow Earth Theatre Company's ACADEMY is now in its 8th year and will run from July 17th to July 28th at ALRA in a bid to inspire the next generation of British East Asian* actors.
