The Olivier Awards 2016 with MasterCard - the most prestigious event in the UK's theatrical calendar - take place tonight at the Royal Opera House, hosted by Michael Ball. This year's list of Olivier Award nominees includes Gemma Arterton, Kenneth Branagh, Kenneth Cranham, Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench, Mark Gatiss, Denise Gough, Preeya Kalidas, Nicole Kidman, Adrian Lester, Lara Pulver, Mark Rylance, Imelda Staunton, Tom Sturridge and David Suchet.

Last night, Wednesday 23 March, saw the opening night of the much-anticipated production of Duncan Macmillan's intoxicating new play, PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS, at the Wyndham's Theatre. Transferring to the West End after a sell-out National Theatre run, Duncan Macmillan's PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS opened last night at Wyndham's Theatre. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, the show is a collaboration between the National and Headlong. It's recently extended its run and is now booking to June 18.
Previews begin at the Wyndham's Theatre on Tuesday 15 March, with opening night on Wednesday 23 March, and having recently extended its run, PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS is booking until 18 June 2016.
