The hit Broadway musical SISTER ACT recently partnered with God's Love We Deliver by outfitting runners for their 18th annual Race To Deliver on November 20th in Central Park. The cast of SISTER ACT also sang the national anthem and were involved with the official Warm-Up for the four mile run. God's Love We Deliver is the tri-state area's leading provider of nutritious, individually-tailored meals to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves.

This winter, from January 2, 2012 through March 4, 2012, SISTER ACT will be performed on the following schedule: Monday at 7pm, Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 2pm and 8pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm.
Beginning March 5, 2012, the performance schedule will be as follows: Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 2pm and 8pm, Thursday at 8pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm.

On November 17, Macy's Herald Square kicked-off the season with a heavenly evening of holiday magic at the annual Christmas window unveiling on Broadway Boulevard. The event featured an appearance by special guest, Whoopi Goldberg, along with the divine cast members of the hit Broadway musical, Sister Act, including Tony Award nominee, Patina Miller. Santa Claus also made an appearance and led the countdown to flip the switch and unveil the 2011 Christmas Windows, this year titled 'Make-A-Wish.'

The SISTER ACT School Challenge Initiative is offering the chance for one lucky class from grades 5 through 9 to win a class field trip to SISTER ACT on Broadway. Teachers are invited to share their class' acts of kindness by submitting a photo of their class giving back to their community, along with the story behind it, for the chance to win a class field trip to SISTER ACT. New York had just become the sixth state in the nation to legalize gay marriage.
Unless the names 'Noel' and 'Coward' are involved, I tend to be a bit wary about musicals with the book, music, lyrics and direction all by the same person, but Willard Beckham makes a very entertaining go of it with his campy, country/western musical comedy, Lucky Guy.
