GIBSON GUITARTOWN ON THE SUNSET STRIP is set to unveil its third installment of art guitars on Wednesday, July 17 at aspecial VIP reception at Hornburg Land Rover on The Sunset Strip. The public art exhibit features 10-foot tall art guitar sculptures celebrating artists and musicians who have influenced The Sunset Strip. The current selection includes works celebrating 2013 Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF) honoree Joan Jett, Janis Joplin, Love, ZZ Top, Alice Cooper and Debbie Harry.

Fab 5 Freddy is a cultural pioneer who played a key role in bringing hip-hop culture to audiences around the world. Born Fred Brathwaite in Bedford Stuyvesant, he was a graffiti artist who famously paid homage to Andy Warhol by covering a subway car in Campbell's soup cans.

The King's Theatre, Glasgow, will present HAIRSPRAY, starring Mark Benton, Lucy Benjamin, Marcus Collins and Freya Sutton.

It's been a busy week for Broadway's ORPHANS, Lyle Kessler's play starring Alec Baldwin, Ben Foster, and Tom Sturridge. The show opened on Broadway last night, and a starry audience including Dakota Fanning, Tina Fey, Jane Krakowski, Winona Ryder, Sienna Miller, Anna Chlumsky, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Richard Schiff, Anna Wintour, Debbie Harry, Melissa Errico and Patrick McEnroe, Bridget Moynahan and Michael Shannon. The spring 2013 exhibition organized by The Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be PUNK: Chaos to Couture. The exhibition, on view from May 9 through August 14, 2013 (preceded on May 6 by The Costume Institute Benefit), will examine punk's impact on high fashion from the movement's birth in the 1970s through its continuing influence today.
