A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed repertory theatre company, begins the second half of its 2008-09 season with Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, a rough and raucous ride on the road to romance and one of the Bard's most popular, high-spirited comedies, which opens Saturday, March 7 and runs through Sunday, May 17, 2009.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced today that their board of governors have voted to give Jerry Lewis the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. Lewis is to be presented with the special Oscar statuette on February 22, 2009 during the 81st Annual Academy Awards.

'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' will make its broadcast debut on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 12:35/11:35c. The New York Post is reporting that acting icon Robert De Niro will be Jimmy Fallon's first guest on the revamped 'Late Night', will be joined by Van Morrison, who'll perform on Fallon's inaugural telecast.

Musical Director John Oddo will lead a 17-piece band featuring Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar, Jim Saporito on drums, and David Finck on bass.
