Joe DeRosa to Perform at Comedy Works Larimer Square, 1/2-5

Writer, actor, and stand-up comedian Joe DeRosa has become a favorite on the comedy circuit. His brand of comedy mixing brutal honesty and frustration at the workings of the world has won over comedy fans, radio listeners and TV audiences nationwide.

The 25th anniversary edition of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' Gypsy of the Year Competition will be presented Monday, December 9 (4:30 PM) and Tuesday, December 10 (2 PM) at the Minskoff Theatre (1515 Broadway). The show will feature performances by New York's best actors, singers, dancers, and musicians with several guest appearances, including Tyne Daly, Cherry Jones, Ian McKellen, Mark Rylance, and Patrick Stewart.

ArtsPower Brings THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD EARNS HER WHISTLE to Queens Theatre Today

Queens Theatre (QT) presents ArtsPower's THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD EARNS HER WHISTLE. Adapted for the stage by playwright and lyricist Greg Gunning and composer Richard DeRosa, it's a story about finding strength from within and always believing that anything is possible, a theme that can always be found in these beloved books. THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD EARNS HER WHISTLE will be at Queens Theatre (14 United Nations Avenue South, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, NY 11368) today, November 24th at 1pm and 3pm.

The Lincoln Lodge presents the Chicago debut of nationally touring headliner Joe DeRosa. Joe is a regular on the The Opie & Anthony Show and Fox News' Red Eye and has also appeared on his own Comedy Central stand-up special with guest appearances on the comedy series Louie and HBO's Bored to Death.

Stephen DeRosa, Jessica Hendy & More Set for BROADWAY BALLYHOO, 11/20

The Broadway Ballyhoo, now in its sixth month at The Laurie Beechman Theater, will present STEPHEN DeROSA, the multi-talented singer/actor who is currently featured in BETRAYAL and who has starred on Broadway as The Baker in the revival of INTO THE WOODS; he is also well-known for playing Eddie Cantor in EMPIRE BOARDWALK. Also starring this week at the Ballyhoo: JESSICA HENDY who starred on Broadway in CATS, AMOUR, and AIDA. Song and Dance man DANNY GARDNER (Broadway by the Year, Noah Racey's Pulse, and Room 17B) will be on the bill, as will concert and recording artist TEDI MARSH! The next show is Wednesday, November 20th at 10:45 PM.

The Lincoln Lodge is proud to present the Chicago debut of nationally touring headliner Joe DeRosa. Joe is a regular on the The Opie & Anthony Show and Fox News' Red Eye and has also appeared on his own Comedy Central stand-up special with guest appearances on the comedy series Louie and HBO's Bored to Death. In 2010 DeRosa released his first album, The Depression Auction on Comedy Central records. A second album, Return of the Son of Depression Auction followed in 2011 and a third album, You Will Die was released in September 2013. In 2012, he co-authored the book Cheat: The Man's Guide to Infidelity with fellow comedians Bill Burr and Robert Kelly.

Milwaukee Ave.), the historic rock venue that has hosted acts such as The Rolling Stones and Smashing Pumpkins is now home to Chicago's most exciting new comedy show. They've renovated their downstairs space, and will host a FREE weekly comedy show featuring the best of Chicago's burgeoning alternative comedy scene.
