Intense. Amazing. Life-changing. These are just some of the words that former members of the Powerhouse Theater Training Program, one of the country's leading theater immersion programs, use to describe their experience at Vassar. Now, this nationally-recognized training program entering its 26th season is accepting applications for actors, designers, directors, and writers for the 2010 Powerhouse season.

The Drilling Company Theatre welcomes Reverie Productions for its second annual festival of new play development, WET INK, including a workshop production of URGE FOR GOING by Mona Mansour, directed by Tania Inessa Kirkman. The festival also includes MONDAY NIGHT SEX, a night of steamy one-acts from Reverie's writers lab, as well as staged readings of new plays by Michael Bettencourt, Fengar Gael, Katharine Clark Gray, and Laura Marks.

Ars Nova presents, as part of the Out Loud series, a FREE reading of: SOUTH OF SETTLING by Emily Schwend, directed by Davis McCallum. The cast includes Justin Adams, Craig Bockhorn, Kate Forbes, Mariann Mayberry and Jake O'Connor.

The Flea Theater invites you to the World Premiere of THE GREAT RECESSION, an evening of short plays that explore the impact of the current economic crisis on the younger generation.

Red Bull Theater's Revelation Readings series will feature Martha Plimpton, Michael Emerson and more. The series began readings on September 14th and will continue the series through June 14, 2010. The series is meant to rediscover neglected classics, and to develop new plays of heightened language and classical themes.
