THE TIGER WHO CAME TO TEA Extends Through 7 Sept. at Lyric Theatre

More shows have been added to the tea party that no one wants to miss with the tea-guzzling Tiger, who pounces back into the West End in this truly magical Olivier nominated production of THE TIGER WHO CAME TO TEA, opening at the Lyric Theatre Shaftesbury Avenue on WEDNESDAY 2 JULY and running throughout the summer to SUNDAY 7 SEPTEMBER 2014.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL to Play Durham Performing Arts Center, 12/18-21

It only happens once a year! The hit musical comedy adaptation, now celebrating its 40th anniversary! One of the Triangle's most beloved Christmas traditions will once again be featured at the Durham Performing Arts Center this December for five shows only. Ira David Wood III's hit musical comedy adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic will run December 18th through 21st, 2014 in Durham. Last year's shows at DPAC sold out, so plan on getting your tickets early!

MainStreet Theatre Company presents its final show of the season - the west coast premiere of Roald Dahl's The Magic Finger. British Playwright David Wood did the adaptation, which premiered at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, MD in 2013. Mr. Wood has continued to work on the play, and MainStreet is producing a brand new version. Abigail Deser is the director. The production will play two school performances today, May 2nd, and open to the public tomorrow, Saturday, May 3rd at 4pm. The strictly limited engagement will run through Sunday, May 18th only. Roald Dahl's THE MAGIC FINGER Gets West Coast Premiere at MainStreet Theatre Today

MainStreet Theatre Company is delighted to announce their final show of the season - the west coast premiere of Roald Dahl's The Magic Finger. British Playwright David Wood did the adaptation, which premiered at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, MD in 2013. Imagination Stage to Present THE BFG, 6/25-8/10

Imagination Stage is the new home of Giant Country in The BFG, a play based on the book by Roald Dahl and adapted by David Wood. Co-directed by Imagination Stage's Associate Artistic Director Kathryn Chase Bryer and Eric J. Van Wyk of Viterbo University, The BFG integrates puppetry, rich visuals, and imaginative storytelling as Sophie and the Big Friendly Giant go on a magical journey to save the children of England. Best for ages 5-10, The BFG runs in Imagination Stage's Annette M. and Theodore N. Lerner Family Theatre June 25-August 10, 2014. Theatre In The Park's PAGEANT Begins Tonight

After 13 years, Theatre In The Park is bringing its most requested show, the musical comedy, Pageant by Bill Russell and Frank Kelly, with music by Albert Evans, back to the Raleigh stage.

Southwark's Broadway Bound TITANIC Wins Big at Off West End Theatre Awards; Full List!

The 2013 Off West End Theatre Awards were presented tonight at London's Unicorn Theatre, with the Broadway bound production of TITANIC, presented by Southwark Playhouse, taking home four awards. The production won 'Best Musical Production,' Cressida Carre won for her choreography in the production, David Woodhead won for his costumes in TITANIC (as well as LIZZIE SIDDAL at the Arcola Theatre), and Howard Hudson took home the prize for lighting, in addition to working on LIZZIE SIDDAL at the Arcola.

JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH Plays South Coast Rep, Now thru 2/23

A big hit with audiences during the 2006-07 season, James and the Giant Peach in 2014 will offer a memorable experience for new and returning playgoers as a part of SCR's Theatre for Young Audiences series. Casey Stangl, director of last season's Anastaisa Krupnik, returns to direct this adaptation by David Wood of the beloved children's book by Roald Dahl, James and the Giant Peach. The show runs tonight, Feb. 7-23 at South Coast Repertory on the Julianne Argyros Stage.
