Walk Like a Man is sex with an attitude for women of all ages and ethnicities. Based on characters taken from the collection of short stories, Walk Like A Man - The Play is presented in spoken word, comedic scenes and dramatic monologues that spotlight issues in the African-American lesbian community. Strap on your attitude and dive into ten different pulsating stories from women who love the way you love, living life on the edge, exploring sexuality - uninhibited.

BWW Review: ABSENCE Offers Inside View of Dementia

Boston Playwrights' Theatre season concludes with Peter M. Floyd's ABSENCE, a witty and poignant exploration of a 76-year old woman's decline and the impact on her family relationships. Understudy Kippy Goldfarb stepped in and stepped up on the opening weekend for ailing Joanna Merlin and knocked it out of the park.

Galax Quartet with Karen Clark to Play Concerts in Palo Alto, Berkeley and San Francisco, 1/31-2/2

The San Francisco Early Music Society's 2013-14 concert series continues the weekend of January 31 - February 2, 2014 in an inspired program by the Galax Quartet with contralto Karen Clark. Titled Chromatic Clusters, the program pairs avant-garde music from the 16th century with new music from today, including the world premiere of Roy Wheldon's On the Petaluma River and the West Coast premiere of Joseph Schwantner's Dream Drapery: Thoreau Songs.

BWW Review: MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET Proves the Existence of Santa Claus

The miracle in MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET is the ability of Kris Kringle to infuse the holiday with the true spirit of Christmas in the face of raging commercialism, harried shoppers, and cynical doubters. Adapted from the beloved 1947 film, the play at Stoneham Theatre does not fare as well in its stage bound version, despite the best efforts of all involved.

Boston College Theatre Department to Present THREE SISTERS, 11/21-24

The Boston College Theatre Department continues its 2013-2014 season with an exciting, non-traditional production of Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters. The production will be directed by guest artist, David R. Gammons, the Theatre Department's Rev. J. Donald Monan, S.J. Professor in Theatre Arts for the Fall 2013 semester. [More below.] Performances will take place on the Robsham Theater Arts Center main stage November 21-24.

Boston Playwrights' Theatre continues its season of new works with award-winning Boston playwright Steven Barkhimer's WINDOWMEN, a coming-of-age comedy set in Lower Manhattan's Fulton Fish Market. Brett Marks directs an ensemble of five Equity actors who bring to life the characters from Barkhimer's memory and imagination.

David Wilson Barnes plays Charlie Duff, a burnt-out local newscaster who transforms first his community and then himself when he begins praying on-air in the Huntington Theatre Company's new production of Stephen Belber's moving new drama The Power of Duff. Amy Pietz ("The Office," "Caroline in the City") plays Duff's ex-wife Lisa, and Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein, Friends with Kids) plays Sue, Charlie's co-anchor, in the production helmed by Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois. Performances began on October 11 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA. The Power of Duff is produced in association with New York Stage and Film and Vassar's Powerhouse Theater.
