BWW Reviews: Fells Point Corner Theatre's ORPHANS Deserves Love
by Cybele Pomeroy - Nov 22, 2013

Let me just say that I am a fan of small community theatres tucked into residential neighborhoods, so naturally I'm inclined to feel kindly towards FPCT. Aside from the issue of parking on the streets of Fells Point, that is. The theatre, which is in its 27th season of operation, has been updated bit by bit, so the overall feel of the interior is contemporary, open and welcoming. The theatre seats are comfortable and don't squeak at all. At intermission, there are refreshments, including wine, available in the lobby.

Photo Flash: First Look at ORPHANS at Fells Point Corner Theatre, Opening 11/8
by Tyler Peterson - Oct 22, 2013

The bungled kidnapping of a mysterious businessman has explosive ramifications for a violent petty thief, his emotionally fragile brother and their supposed victim, who soon reveals a variety of surprising secrets. Wickedly funny and powerfully emotional, Orphans portrays these very different men, whose childhood deprivation of love and nurturing has astonishing consequences. Orphans will play from November 8th through December 8th, 2013. Check out a first look below!

by Kelsey Denette - Apr 22, 2013

Opening on May 10th, Fells Point Corner Theater will be presenting David Mamet's scalding comedy Glengarry Glen Ross. Recently revived this season on Broadway, Glengarry Glen Ross is Mamet at his very best, writing about small-time, cutthroat real estate salesmen trying to grind out a living by pushing plots of land on reluctant buyers in a never-ending scramble for their share of the American dream. Featured in this production are Jeff Murray, Howard Berkowitz, Vic Cheswick, Jr., Will Runnebaum, Jonathan Sachsman, William Walker, Tyrone Requer, and David Shoemaker.

LONE STAR and LAUNDRY & BOURBON Open at Fells Point Corner Theatre Tonight
by BWW News Desk - Feb 15, 2013

Fells Point Corner Theatre will present two hilarious comedies by James McLure on our Sokal Stage, opening tonight, February 15th! LAUNDRY & BOURBON is the story of three discontented and gossiping small-town wives, whose marriages are less than ideal, but strong friendship and a splash of bourbon see them through. LONE STAR is a side-splitting study of three Texas 'good ole boys' on a Saturday night carouse, which takes place in the cluttered back yard of a small-town Texas bar.

IN STEP WITH: THE HOLDUP's Frank Vince at Spotlighters Theater
by Daniel Collins - Jul 25, 2012

his is the last week for director Michael Spellman's The Holdup, now at the Spotlighters Theater (www.spotlighters.org). I caught up with actor Frank Vince who portrays "The Outlaw" in this "inventive, picaresque play that mingles humor and sentiment," as noted on the Spotlighters website. I've had the opportunity to review Frank's work in the past, such as his performance as Roy Cohn in Angels in America, and have "strode the boards" with him when I played Jimmy Tomorrow to Frank's Rocky in the Fells Point Corner Theater production of "The Iceman Cometh' this past winter. In this interview, Frank discusses his love of acting, his time at the Spotlighters, and his role as "The Outlaw'

What do three prostitutes, an old man, a brother and sister on their way to Utah, a man seeking his grandfather, a faded southern belle, among others, all have in common? They're all about to be evicted from 'The Hot L Baltimore,' now at the Spotlighters Theater.

BWW Reviews: 10 X 10: A Box of Treats at FPCT

The effect is a bit like opening a sampler of candies; while enjoying one treat, you're looking forward to the next, and the next, and the next …
