TRIASSIC PARQ The Musical, 2010's Best Musical winner at FringeNYC, opened last night, June 27th for a limited Off-Broadway engagement through August 5th. Written by Marshall Pailet, Bryce Norbitz and Steve Wargo, TRIASSIC PARQ is directed by Mr. Pailet, with choreography by Kyle Mullins and musical direction by Zak Sandler. The cast of TRIASSIC PARQ features Lindsay Nicole Chambers, Brandon Espinoza, Wade McCollum, Claire Neumann, Lee Seymour, Shelley Thomas, and Alex Wyse.

The Irish Repertory Theatre and Gingold Theatrical Group Extend MAN AND SUPERMAN Through 7/1

Irish Repertory Theatre and Gingold Theatrical Group announce a two-week extension of their co-production of Georger Bernard Shaw's masterpiece, MAN AND SUPERMAN, with performances now set to run through July 1 at the Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street), as part of Irish Rep's 24th Season and GTG's first-ever 'Shaw New York' festival. GTG's artistic director, David Staller, directs his adaptation of this remarkable comedy, performed with its rarely seen 'interior play' DON JUAN IN HELL.

Sons of the Prophet, written by Stephen Karam, won the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award (NYDCC) for Best Play of the 2011-2012 season. The New York Drama Critics' Circle met on May 7, 2012, at the offices of Time Out New York magazine, to determine the winners of its 77th annual awards. The overall results were Best Play: Sons of the Prophet (Stephen Karam), Best Foreign Play: Tribes (Nina Raine), Best Musical: Once (Enda Walsh, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova) and Special Citations: Signature Theatre Company; Mike Nichols for his contribution to the theater. Below you can see a breakdown of the voting process, showing who voted for what shows.

Sons of the Prophet, written by Stephen Karam, today won the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award (NYDCC) for Best Play of the 2011-2012 season. The award for Best Foreign Play went to Tribes, written by Nina Raine. Once received the award for Best Musical. The selections were made at the 77th annual voting meeting of the organization today at the offices of Time Out New York in Manhattan. Special Citations were awarded to Mike Nichols and Signature Theatre Company. The awards will be presented at a cocktail reception to be held on Monday, May 14, at Angus McIndoe Restaurant.

Drama Critics Circle to Announce 2012 Award Winners Tonight

Adam Feldman, president of the New York Drama Critics' Circle (NYDCC), has announced that the Circle will meet at the offices of Time Out New York magazine today, Monday, May 7, to select the winners of the 77th annual New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards, which will be announced at approximately 7pm, immediately following the meeting.
