On the next episode o ABC's SCANDAL titled "The Testimony of Diego Munoz" - David Rosen is caught off guard when a surprise visitor reveals insider information about B613 that could take down the White House and destroy Pope & Associates.
Hard to find words after 60 minutes like that. Quite literally ripped from today's headlines, Shonda Rhimes dives head first into one of today's most controversial topics with no holds barred. Regardless of politics, that was one of the best episodes of SCANDAL ever.
Last week I was super afraid that this episode would be predictable and I was am so very, very happy I was wrong. Why would I ever doubt Shonda Rhimes? She sure knows what she's doing because I sure didn't see that coming!
On the next episode of ABC's SCANDAL titled “No More Blood”, as the bidding for Olivia Pope continues, the gladiators fight to save her but The White House fears that they may lose her for good.
I was gone on vacation last week, I didn't miss anything, did I? Except Fitz revealing the truth to Mellie and Cyrus, Huck torturing Liz for the truth, Jake and David Rosen figuring out where Liv was just after she made a deal with her captor, Ian? Is that all? Sheesh. I'm never going away again!
Marissa Mulder, who has been collecting rave reviews and awards in bunches over the past couple of years, debuted her new solo show, Instincts (with musical director Nate Buccieri), to a packed Metropolitan Room on Friday night January 30. It was the first effort in her new 'Residency' at the Chelsea club, not a surprising status given her steady climb up the cabaret singer hierarchy. Mulder offered an eclectic program of songs by artists from Cy Coleman to Radiohead, representing 'a snapshot of where [her] life is right now, a week away from 30.' Her distinctive vocal sound-sincere yet playful and sounding like a combination of a bell and a trumpet-is uniquely expressive, perhaps from 'living instinctively for quite a while now,' as she said in one her of her rare moments of interstitial patter.
Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced final casting for the upcoming World Premiere production of Five Presidents. Broadway and television veterans Mark Jacoby, Martin L'Herault, Steve Sheridan, Jeff Steitzer, and Brit Whittle, along with Rep Associate Artist Reese Madigan, make up the cast of Five Presidents from Emmy Award-winning writer Rick Cleveland (The West Wing, House of Cards, Mad Men, and Six Feet Under).
The Paley Center for Media today revealed the initial lineup of special guest panelists scheduled to appear at the 32nd annual TV fan festival PALEYFEST LA from March 6-15, 2015 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland.
On the next episode of ABC's SCANDAL titled "Full Circle", Olivia remains one-step ahead of her captures, but she won't be able to keep it up for long.
On the next episode of ABC's SCANDAL titled "Where's the Black Lady?", with Olivia still missing, the team comes together to do whatever it takes to find her and get her home safely.
WHOA! If you were thinking we were going to ease slowly into the second part of this season, you were gravely mistaken. Shonda wasted absolutely NO time dealing with the kidnapping of Olivia Pope and finished out this grueling hour with shocking results. Make no mistake, SCANDAL has returned and it isn't white pants suits and red wine; it's horrifying.
Tony Goldwyn, who stars as the fictional president in the hit ABC drama series SCANDAL, stopped by GMA to talk about what fans can expect after the dramatic mid-season finale.
After a (literally) scandalous mid-season finale on November 20, two of our recappers thought it deserved a second look. Jennifer McHugh and Gabrielle 'Gigi' Gervais, logged on to GChat and cyberly rewatched the SCANDAL mid-season finale together. Jumping right in from the beginning with Fitz and Jake arguing about Rowan's whereabouts in front of a near catatonic Olivia, our recappers relive every single tense moment of the episode that will keep us starving for more until January.
What makes a good person or a bad person? Or more specifically for theatrical purposes, what makes a good Jew or a bad Jew? That's the question at the heart of the enticingly titled BAD JEWS by Joshua Harmon, a bitingly funny play now making its southeastern premiere at GableStage in Coral Gables.
There isn't an acting award big enough for Joe Morton. He is giving a clinic in this show. Olivia doesn't have much when it comes to parental units in the way of parenting, but man, they sure can act!
'Annual performances of Handel's Messiah have been a New York tradition from the time New York culture began to assert itself,' says Oratorio Society of New York Music Director Kent Tritle. English choral societies, inspired by grand performances of Messiah at Westminster Abbey at the turn of the 19th century, would perform the work periodically, but the Oratorio Society of New York made it an annual tradition in New York City - in 1874, the year after the Society was founded.
If that's the penultimate episode of the mid-season, I think we're in some real trouble next week. Talk about action packed, every single storyline is headed for disaster and with only one episode to go in 2014, not even a second was wasted.
One thing you can never accuse SCANDAL of is having a boring episode. There seriously is not a second you can look away from the screen without missing something. I reached down to get a drink of water and nearly missed Mellie overhearing Fitz's phone call with Olivia. I just need to learn to not eat, drink or breathe during these 45 minutes on Thursday nights.
