As the final concert of three, Melissa Errico and Adam Gopnik premier their evening for the French Institute; Alliance Française, IL PARLE, ELLE CHANTE, PART 3: MYSTERY. It is a treat for the music lover, the knowledge lover, and the francophile.

In a concert streamed live from New England Conservatory's iconic Jordan Hall, the NEC Jazz Orchestra will celebrate the centennial of jazz great Charlie Parker with Anthropology: Music of Charlie Parker on Thursday, November 19. Sets at 7:30 and 9 p.m.

Beginning October 28, 2016, Dominique Le?vy will present Joel Shapiro, the first survey exhibition of early wood wall reliefs by renowned American sculptor Joel Shapiro. Created between 1978 and 1980, these colorful small-scale works will be complemented by a major new site-specific installation work by the artist. The exhibition aims to illuminate the trajectory of Shapiro's career, revealing a decades-long exploration of color and mass that has culminated in his recent body of room-size sculptural installations.

Tonight, February 7, at 8 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents PSO Saturday Evening POPS!, recasting its annual mid-winter pops concert into A Silver Screen Salute.

On Saturday, February 7, at 8 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents PSO Saturday Evening POPS!, recasting its annual mid-winter pops concert into A Silver Screen Salute. Hosted by NPR film critic Bob Mondello, conducted by PSO Music Director Rossen Milanov, and featuring a special guest appearance by the American Boychoir, the program spotlights the award-winning works of John Williams, composed for the popular box office films Star Wars, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, and Indiana Jones. The voices of the American Boychoir join in on Amistad's "Dry Your Tears, Afrika," Saving Private Ryan's "Hymn to the Fallen," and Empire of the Sun's "Cadillac of the Skies" and "Exsultate Justi." Many other movie scores will be represented, including music from The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, Cinema Paradiso, Laura, The Magnificent Seven, Sunset Boulevard, Lawrence of Arabia, and Vertigo.

Earlier this week, Carnegie Hall presented Standard Time with Michael Feinstein 'The Bad and the Beautiful'- Celebrating David Raksin and Classic Film Songs. Michael Feinstein, backed by a 12-piece band conducted by Charles Prince, sang classic songs by some of Hollywood's greatest composers. Feinstein performed music by David Raskin, the composer of the themes for The Bad and the Beautiful, Laura, and other memorable films, as well as favorites by other great masters of music for the silver screen. For over five decades Broadway composer extraordinaire Cy Coleman has brought musical magic to the worlds of theater, television and film. In recognition of his amazing achievements as composer, lyricist, writer, arranger, musical director, producer and director, The Johnny Mercer Foundation will honor him with a special award at their second annual gala Monday, November 15 at The Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center.
