City Theatre launches its 41st season with the Pittsburgh premiere of The Night Alive, on the Mainstage tonight, October 10, through November 1, 2015. The play is written by Conor McPherson, and is directed by City Theatre Artistic Director Tracy Brigden, who is celebrating her 15th season as the Southside company's artistic leader.

Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts opens the 2015-16 Jazz series with Anat Cohen Quartet: Celebrando Brasil on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 8:00 p.m at Miller Theatre (2960 Broadway at 116th Street). 

Cleveland Play House will honor a new class of those who have contributed to its vibrant history with a Hall of Fame induction ceremony and luncheon on October 25th from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Cibreo Privato located at 2037 E. 14th Street. 2015/16 inductees will include Jon Jory, a former apprentice actor at CPH who went on to found the Humana Festival of New American Plays, The Resident Company of CPH (1921-88), and the CPH Heritage Award will be presented to Karamu House, the revolutionary theatre who, like CPH, is also celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

Directed by Obie Award winner Liesl Tommy and featuring Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o in her New York stage debut, this powerful story of survival and resilience begins previews at The Public Theater tonight, September 29, and will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, November 29 with an official press opening on Wednesday, October 14.

Eastbound Theatre, a division of the Milford Arts Council, is excited to present the first show of its 22nd season, the hilarious comedy, Moonlight and Magnolias, by Ron Hutchinson, directed by Richard Mancini. 

Kid Koala's graphic novel NUFONIA MUST FALL, directed by K.K. Barrett, comes to life in its U.S. premiere, tonight, September 17, through September 20 at BAM's Harvey Theater (651 Fulton St), featuring The Afiara Quartet.
