Winners of the prestigious international Search for New Musicals were announced today at New Musicals Inc. in Los Angeles.

The second annual West End Wilma Awards took place on Friday afternoon, 30 October 2015, at The Hippodrome Casino. Below, check out the full list of winners and some snapshots from the awards' red carpet!

Birdland Jazz Club has announced its lineup for November 9-15, 2015, including Poncho Sanchez, Sally Mayes and Jeff Harnar, The Ray Marchica and Nina Hennessy Group, and more!

Bright Star Touring Theatre based in Asheville, North Carolina is partering with the National Park Service to provide performances for National Park patrons in 2016.  The company was awarded a federal contract to create an original play entitled The Black Experience in the Heartland.  This hour long play will commemorate over four hundred years of Black History in the Midwest and will include key figures such as George Washington Carver, Abraham Lincoln and The Buffalo Soldiers. The play will tour from February to August, 2016 at notable National Parks and Historic Sites including The Brown Versus Board of Education National Historic Site in Kansas, Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site in Arkansas and Mount Rushmore. The partnership coinsides with the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service and is intended to draw diverse audiences to National Parks in honor of the Centinnial.  

The Public Theater announced today that Stacey Sargeant will join the cast of ECLIPSED as "Helena" beginning Tuesday, November 3.

City Theatre continues its season with the Pittsburgh premiere of Sunset Baby in the Hamburg Studio, November 7 - December 13, 2015. The play is written by Dominique Morisseau and is directed by Jade King Carroll.

Chosen for this inaugural production is a revival of one of the most successful shows ever staged at CRT, 'Always...Patsy Cline'. Written byTed Swindley, this heart-warming, family-friendly musical features some of Patsy Cline's greatest hits including 'Crazy', 'Walkin' After Midnight', 'I Fall to Pieces' and many more. The Acting Company (Margot Harley, Co-Founder and Producer), America's best known touring repertory theater, will honor Emmy Award-winner Tom Fontana, educator and student mentor Paul Fontana, and Acting Company Co-founder and Producer Margot Harley at a Gala Benefit evening on Monday, November 9th atCapitale (130 Bowery - between Broome & Grand Sts). Both of the gentlemen will each be presented with the Warburg Humanitarian Award for their outstanding philanthropic endeavors on behalf of children, education and the arts, while Ms. Harley will be saluted for her 43 years of leadership and achievement as she steps down as Producer of The Acting Company.
