SHOWTIME has ordered a third season of THE REAL L WORD, the announcement was made today by David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

SHOWTIME, an established leader in outstanding original programming, continues to expand its aggressive push into high-end, filmmaker-driven documentaries with a captivating new doc SUGE KNIGHT (tentative title), directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Brooklyn's Finest) and produced by Bradley J. Fischer (Black Swan, Shutter Island, Zodiac) and Fuqua.

On the heels of HOMELAND's biggest numbers yet, for this past Sunday's airing, SHOWTIME has ordered a season two, consisting of 12 new one-hour episodes.

Multi-hyphenate comic impresarios Steve Carell (The Office) and David Steinberg (Sit Down Comedy with David Steinberg) are bringing the biggest names in comedy to the table as executive producers of LAUGHING STOCK, a revealing new comedy interview series featuring the world's funniest personalities, one-on-one with host Steinberg, it was announced today by SHOWTIME President of Entertainment David Nevins. Iconic talent spanning five decades will discuss the art of comedy, evolution of the genre and their ascension to the top of their field. Carell and Steinberg will serve as executive producers, alongside Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock for Carousel Productions, with Steinberg also serving as Director and Host. The ten, half-hour episodes will debut on SHOWTIME in early 2012.

SHOWTIME has just announced that the second season of Shamless will premiere on January 8 at 9PM. SHAMELESS stars William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum and Joan Cusack. SHAMELESS is SHOWTIME's best performing freshman drama series in the past seven years.

Fans of Friday Night Lights will once again be able to recapture the excitement of the Dillon Panthers as ESPN will air the entire series with episodes set to premiere on July 12. To celebrate the kick-off of the football-themed drama, episodes one and two from season one will air back-to-back in primetime on ESPN at 8pm and 9pm ET.
