Written by Josh Thomas, the creator of the critically acclaimed, heartwarming dramedy-series “Please Like Me,” the half-hour comedy pilot introduces Nicholas (played by Thomas), a neurotic 25-year-old who suddenly has to grapple with the loss of his father while figuring out how to be a guardian to his two teenage half-sisters.

Michael Grandinetti is pulling out all the stops when he returns for his fifth season as one of the stars of the hit CW series 'Masters of Illusion'. Always determined to top himself, in this year's season premiere event, Michael will perform a never before seen illusion in which he visibly saws himself in half, with no cover, in front of 300 onlookers live in Hollywood. The audience and even the show's production team were surprised by this illusion, which will air in the episode on July 6 at 8:00pm.
A high-flying sci-fi comedy will make its world premiere at the 2018 KC Fringe Festival, July 19-29. Inspired by a forgotten comic book character created in 1939, "Rex Dexter of Mars" is an epic misadventure in time and space, filled with exploding planets, sinister alien bad guys, killer robots and ray gun-slinging heroes. Written by Darrell Brogdon, the play will be presented in the form of a 1930s radio serial, with live sound effects and actors performing multiple roles, at City Stage/Union Station.
