Arden Theatre Company continues its 2009/10 season with the Philadelphia premiere of Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire.

SHREK THE MUSICAL® will launch a national tour at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre for a limited engagement, July 13 - September 5, 2010.

Montblanc presents the 9 th annual THE 24 HOUR PLAYS ON BROADWAY on Monday, November 9 th 2009 at the American Airlines Theatre. Proceeds benefit Urban Arts Partnership, a not-for-profit organization that brings vital arts education programs into New York City public school classrooms.

Page 73 Productions (Liz Jones and Asher Richelli, Executive Directors) and New Georges (Susan Bernfield, Artistic Director; Sarah Cameron Sunde, Associate Director) will present the world premiere of Heidi Schreck's riveting new play "Creature," directed by Leigh Silverman. This Off Broadway engagement will be performed at the Ohio Theatre, 66 Wooster Street (between Spring and Broome Streets). Previews begin on Tuesday, October 27, and the official Opening Night will be Monday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. Performances will run through November 21.

Silver Spring Stage presents Edward Albee's The Goat or, Who is Sylvia? directed by Craig Allen Mummey offering with humor and pathos the most unexpected twists and turns of a family and a husband's surprising love. The Goat or, Who is Sylvia? will perform weekends October 30 to November 22.

Crabby but endearing Gustin Novak reflects on the women he has loved over his 88 years in Noah Haidle's latest play, Saturn Returns, which will make its West Coast premiere on South Coast Repertory's Segerstrom Stage Oct. 23 through Nov. 22.

South Coast Repertory will present the world premiere of The Happy Ones, the story of an Orange County man who must rediscover his optimism in the wake of tragedy, on the Julianne Argyros Stage Sept. 27 - Oct. 18.

SHORTS: DAVID LINDSAY-ABAIRE will play the VoxBox Theatre beginning tonight through November 7th. The play combines three one act plays by writer David Lindsay-Abaire, best known for the Pullitzer Prize winning Rabbit Hole and as the book writer for SHREK: THE MUSICAL.

In the Chicago Tribune yesterday, theater critic Chris Jones reports that Shrek originals Brian D'Arcy James (Shek), Sutton Foster (Princess Fiona) and Christopher Sieber (Lord Farquaad) are scheduled to attend a preview event later this month surrounding the announcement of the Shrek National Tour, reported to be kicking off at Chicago's Ford Center for the Performing Arts in June 2010.

Beowulf Alley Theatre at 11 South 6th Avenue, Downtown Tucson between Broadway and Congress, presents Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire. Sara Falconer makes her directorial debut at Beowulf Alley with this powerful production that earned the 2006 Tony Award for Best New Play and the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Carmel Community Players kicks off its season of Pulitzer Prize-winning plays with its production of Rabbit Hole on Thursday, October 15th. It will be the first production for CCP since moving into the new Carmel Community Playhouse at Clay Terrace.

The prestigious STAGE International Script Competition, which awards a $10,000 prize to the best new play about science and technology, is now accepting scripts for its fourth round. The deadline for entries is December 15, 2009.
