According to Blu-ray.com, Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the December 7 release of the Dreamworks Animation movie 'Shrek Forever After.' The DVD will include a special preview of SHREK THE MUSICAL, as well as "12 Days of Christmas" pop-up book, deleted scenes, interactive games and an insider's look at the film.

Also set for release on December 7, is 'Shrek: The Whole Story,' a gift set including all four Shrek movies. For a limited time, both DVDs will include the holiday program, 'Donkey's Christmas Shrektacular,' featuring Shrek and friends in a holiday sing-a-long.

SHREK THE MUSICAL features book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire, and music by Jeanine Tesori. Jason Moore directs, with choreography by Josh Prince.

In order to regain his peaceful neighborhood, a fearsome ogre makes a deal with the wanna-be king to rescue his intended, a damsel in distress. But surprises are in store in this funny, fractured fairy tale.

The original cast included Tony Award nominee Brian D'Arcy James as Shrek, Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as Princess Fiona, Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber as Lord Farquaad, Tony Award nominee Daniel Breaker as Donkey and Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia as Pinocchio.

SHREK THE MUSICAL is currently touring the U.S. and heads to London in spring 2011. To find out how to catch it live, check out ShrekTheMusical.com.
