RAIN to Play Final Performance on Broadway 7/31

The 2011 Drama Desk Award winning production of RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles on Broadway will play its final performance on Broadway Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th St) after 8 previews and 300 regular performances, as the company heads to South Africa to bring the music of the Beatles to Johannesburg. After opening October 26, 2010 at the Neil Simon theatre for an 13 week limited engagement, RAIN recouped its initial $2 million investment in just seven weeks. The show re-opened by popular demand at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on February 8, 2011, grossed $8.75 million, and has been igniting crowds nightly ever since.

After kicking off the inaugural season of Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, shattering all box office records from Arena Stage's 60-year history and rounding up 10 Helen Hayes Awards nominations, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! has returned for a summer run under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith. The revival, featuring the entire original principal cast and most of the ensemble, has already broken more company records by selling the highest number of single tickets for a production in 24 hours when tickets went on sale March 3, 2011. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! began performances on July 8, 2011 and opened July 14. The production runs through October 2, 2011 in the Fichandler Stage. Arena Stage's A TIME TO KILL Opens 5/22

Broadway's Sebastian Arcelus, who previously appeared onstage in ELF and JERSEY BOYS, is trying on a more serious, and non-singing role in A TIME TO KILL. The play is a Rupert Holmes' adaptation of a novel by John Grisham and will open today, May 22 at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, after previews which began on May 6.

New Block of RAIN Tickets Available; Booking Through January 2012!

The producers of RAIN - A Tribute to The Beatles On Broadway announced today that a new block of tickets is now on sale for the hit show, currently playing at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). Tickets for RAIN range from $25 - $120 (including a $1.50 facility fee) and can be purchased by visiting the Brooks Atkinson box office (256 W 47th St), online at www.Ticketmaster.com, or calling 877-250-2929. The performance schedule is as follows: Tuesday at 7PM; Wednesday through Saturday at 8PM with a 2pm matinee on Wednesday and Saturday; Sunday at 3PM. Although RAIN is an open-ended engagement on Broadway, tickets are now on sale through January 1, 2012.
