No Peeking Theatre presents INDIGENOUS; A discussion of the Native Experience

Larry Shue's side-splitting comedy about small towns and mistaken identity takes the stage in Little Fish Theatre's production of The Foreigner directed by LFT Company Member David Graham.  Winner of two Obie Awards and two Outer Critics Circle Awards as Best New American Play and Best Off-Broadway Production, The Foreigner is a melee of misunderstanding and mischief.

Over the past few weeks, Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Birdland has been the place for an enormous variety of musical talent, with Caruso hosting, Billy Stritch accompanying on the eighty-eights, and the Cast Party Symphony Orchestra (Steve Doyle on bass and Daniel Glass on drums).

Beginning June 8th, Jokesters Comedy Club inside The D Casino Hotel will expand their national broadcast and begin airing their new standup comedy series Jokesters TV on The CW Channel Las Vegas. Jokesters TV will air throughout Las Vegas and will be available to both residents and hotel guests every Friday night at 2:00AM.

This collection of six short plays wants to be immediate, relevant, and thought-provoking. The question is, what's the best way to go about writing shows like that?

Eagle Theatre celebrates their fifth year of presenting Stand-Up Comedy with their next installment on May 12th @ 7:00PM & 9:30PM.

I've been to movies where the audience interacts with the actors on screen, but never have I been to a play like that. Surprisingly, it wasn't disruptive. It almost felt natural. The patron interaction to 'The Foreigner' was nearly as comical as the play. Director Miguel E. Rodriguez warned that (paraphrasing here) if we have half as much watching as he did directing, then we were about to have a fun night.

Velocity, in partnership with Discovery, Inc. owned Eurosport, announced today a new multi-year agreement to become the exclusive U.S. and Canadian home for live flag-to-flag coverage of the 24 HOURS OF LE MANS beginning with this year's race on Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17. Under the agreement, Velocity and Motor Trend will also live broadcast the full FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 'Super Season', which begins with the Spa-Francorchamps event this May and culminates with the 24 HOURS OF LE MANS June 15-16, 2019.

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional theatre in residence at Oakes Center in Summit, is producing the World Premiere of Continuing the Conversation: An Evening of Short Plays Inspired by Current Events. The plays, by writers Suzanne Bradbeer, Richard Dresser, Steve Harper, Dania Ramos, Lia Romeo and David Lee White, all deal with themes that are in the public consciousness right now. Dreamcatcher has taken what was a one-night event last season and given it a place on the mainstage this spring. Continuing the Conversation runs April 26 - May 13, 2018.

On Sunday and Monday nights, Broadway/television star Anita Gillette had a ball celebrating Irving Berlin.  Of course, she sang many Berlin standards, and a few unearthed gems.  But that's not what made the evening extra-special.  You see, Anita had a real-life friendship with the composer.  It all started during the creation of a Broadway show called Mr. President, written by Berlin, and starring Gillette.

The Second City announces the extension of The Second City's She the People: Girlfriends' Guide to Sisters Doing It for Themselves, a show the Chicago Tribune calls "empowering entertainment" and the Sun-Times raves is "one of the funniest revues Second City has produced in the past 20 years." A sketch show created, designed and performed entirely by the women of Second City, She the People features the talents of Carisa Barreca, Alex Bellisle, Katie Caussin and Kimberly Michelle Vaughn in addition to newcomers Emma Pope and Kaye Winks. Under the direction of Carly Heffernan with musical direction by Mary Mahoney, She the People now plays through May 27, 2018 in The Second City's UP Comedy Club.
