Deep Dish Theater Stages JOURNEY'S END, Now thru 3/21

A band of British soldiers, hunkered down in the trenches in France in World War I, battle their own demons as they await a rumored German attack in R.C. Sherriff's landmark play, Journey's End, the next offering of the Deep Dish Theater Company. This warm and clear-eyed drama opens tonight, February 27 and plays through March 21, continuing the company's fourteenth season at University Mall.

The final production of their sold out 2014 season, seven performances of Hank V will be staged at The East Wing at The Stumble Inn, 306 East 76th Street (at 2nd Ave) in NYC from February 18-March 1, 2015.

Three Day Hangover, the unique performance company has received rave reviews for their shows. And, now they will premiere a limited engagement of Hank V, based on William Shakespeare's Henry V. It will be performed at Stumble Inn's East Wing, 2nd Avenue and 76th Street on the Upper East Side from tonight, February 18th to February 20th and February 26th to March 1st. All shows start at 7:30 pm.

BAD DANCING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS Begins This Week at The Lounge

Producer Scott Griffin - creator of the Off-Broadway hit DRUNK SHAKESPEARE - has announced that the new immersive and interactive theatrical experience BAD DANCING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS will debut Off-Broadway at the new venue The Lounge at Roy Arias Stages (300 West 43rd Street at 8th Avenue). The show will start previews Saturday, February 7, with an opening night scheduled for Sunday, March 22, and a closing date of Friday, June 5. BAD DANCING will star Whit Leyenberger and Damiyr Shuford. The show is created by Scott Griffin, Whit Leyenberger and Damiyr Shuford. Tickets are $54 for the 'Mezzanine' seats and $69 for 'Stage' seats which get you closer to the action. Drinks and snacks are available before and after the show. Museum of the Moving Image Presents FIRST LOOK Showcase Today

Museum of the Moving Image has announced the lineup for its First Look Festival, an expanded and reconceived version of its annual showcase for inventive new international cinema. Now in its fourth year, First Look,with a lineup that has expanded both in size and scope, is now officially a festival, the first major moving image event of the year. First Look will take place at the Museum from today, January 9 through 18, 2015.

Now in its fourth year, First Look,with a lineup that has expanded both in size and scope, is now officially a festival, the first major moving image event of the year. First Look will take place at the Museum from January 9 through 18, 2015. “First Look reflects the breadth and adventurousness that defines the Museum,” said Chief Curator David Schwartz. “This year, we are expanding beyond programs in the Redstone Theater, with screenings in the Bartos Screening Room, and a newly commissioned large-scale video installation.” The Museum is also announcing a programming partnership with FIDMarseille, the cutting-edge documentary festival programmed under the leadership of Jean-Pierre Rehm.

DRUNK SHAKESPEARE to Transfer Off-Broadway in November

Producer Scott Griffin is proud to announce that due to popular demand, Drunk Shakespeare will transfer Off-Broadway. Drunk Shakespeare - the irreverent and outrageous new interactive theatrical experience directed by David Hudson - will move to a brand new venue on November 1 at The Lounge at Roy Arias Stages (300 West 43rd Street at 8th Avenue), after recently ending its run at Quinn's Bar. Compared to 'a live-action 'Drunk History' by Time Out New York, the show was called 'zany' by The New York Times and 'riotous' by Exeunt Magazine. The new ticket price will be $54.
