Producer Scott Griffin - creator of the Off-Broadway hit DRUNK SHAKESPEARE - has announced that the new immersive and interactive theatrical experience BAD DANCING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS will debut Off-Broadway at the new venue The Lounge at Roy Arias Stages (300 West 43rd Street at 8th Avenue). The show will start previews Saturday, February 7, with an opening night scheduled for Sunday, March 22, and a closing date of Friday, June 5. BAD DANCING will star Whit Leyenberger and Damiyr Shuford. The show is created by Scott Griffin, Whit Leyenberger and Damiyr Shuford. Tickets are $54 for the "Mezzanine" seats and $69 for "Stage" seats which get you closer to the action. Drinks and snacks are available before and after the show. For tickets and more information, visit www.BadDanceFinals.com.

BAD DANCING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS are the Olympics of bad dancing. Contestants compete for the title of "World's Best Worst Dancer" and there can only be one winner. Bring your worst dance moves or the keen eyes of a dance critic and experience a journey through all forms of bad dance... and beyond.

Griffin is also producer of DRUNK SHAKESPEARE - the irreverent and outrageous new theatrical experience directed by David Hudson - which is currently running at The Lounge at Roy Arias Stages through September 6. A self-proclaimed "drinking club with a Shakespeare problem," The Drunk Shakespeare Society invites audiences to join them for a meeting in their society lounge. The evening begins with one actor drinking more than five shots of whiskey before attempting to lead the cast through a Shakespearean story in under 90 minutes. The results are messy and outrageous. Every night is different and truly anything can happen! The show was recently extended following feature stories in The New Yorker and The New York Observer. Compared to "a live-action 'Drunk History'" by Time Out New York, the show was called "zany" by The New York Times and an "off Broadway show you need to see " by The Huffington Post. For tickets and more information, please visit www.DrunkShakespeare.com.

The Lounge - created by a group of drunken academics - has evolved into one of New York's new "must-see" venues. Over 9,000 books fill the walls and with a "bring one, take one" policy, you might find a treasure you want to take home. A grand red stage made entirely of books is the centerpiece of the space, along with a bar built into an 11-foot high bookshelf (with drinks served through a narrow opening by a belligerent bartender).

TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets are available online at www.BadDanceFinals.com, and at the venue, 20 minutes before showtime. Tickets for BAD DANCING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS are $54.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE: Saturdays and Sundays at 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM; Mondays at 7:00 PM; and Wednesdays at 3:00 PM. Occasional shows at other times - full schedule at www.BadDanceFinals.com/calendar.
