August Wilson Monologue Competition Student Wins 3rd Place at Nationals!

Back from a whirlwind weekend in New York City, the August Wilson Red Door Project is proud to announce that Roosevelt High School Senior Alexis Cannard brought home the 3rd place prize at the national August Wilson Monologue Competition National Finals at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway.

Asolo Rep presents KALEIDOSCOPE: HEARTBEATS 5/22

Asolo Rep's Education & Outreach department proudly presents Kaleidoscope: Heartbeats on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 6pm in the Mertz Theatre, on the set of Asolo Rep's world premiere of BEATSVILLE: The Beatnik Musical. The performance is the culmination of this season's Kaleidoscope, an award-winning annual program founded by Broadway veteran Ann Morrison in 1995, which serves individuals with disabilities from local community organizations and schools to discover creative and personal expression through theatre. Ms. Morrison also plays Mrs. Zwicker and Mrs. Greenberg in Asolo Rep's current production of BEATSVILLE.

Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Announces Special Award of Achievement to Honor Gordon Davidson

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle is proud to announce a new special award to be presented at its upcoming awards ceremony on March 20: The Gordon Davidson Award for distinguished contribution to the Los Angeles theatrical community. The award is sponsored by the Center Theatre Group, where Gordon Davidson served as the founding Artistic Director from 1967 to 2005, and will be presented this year to Pro99.
