Godspell, the heart-lifting feel-good Broadway musical from Stephen Schwartz (Wicked), is to be staged in the West End for the first time since it premiered there 42 years ago.

David Essex will be rolling up his sleeves when he returns to the stage next year to play the lead role in a new play, The Dishwashers at Birmingham Repertory Theatre.

EVITA has returned to L.A. by way of Hollywood Pantages for a limited three week engagement, now through November 10, 2013. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, this national touring production comes directly from the first new Broadway revival of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical, since it debuted on Broadway over 30 years ago. Today we are talking to a Tony Award-winning performer known around the world for her iconic original performance as Eponine in both the West End and Broadway editions of international stage sensation LES MISERABLES, copiously convivial chanteuse Frances Ruffelle. Tom Chambers and Summer Strallen take the lead roles of Jerry Travers and Dale Tremont in Top Hat which opened on Wednesday 9th May at the Aldwych Theatre in the West End where the show is currently booking until 26 January 2013. Thea Sharrock is to direct The Bodyguard, a new musical opening at the Adelphi Theatre in Autumn 2012 based on the Warner Bros. film of the same name with screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan. Starring Heather Headley as Rachel Marron and Lloyd Owen as Frank Farmer in the roles made famous on film by the late Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, tickets for The Bodyguard go on sale today (1 May 2012) taking bookings until 27 April 2013 for the production's first booking period. Previews begin on 6 November 2012, twenty years after the release of the Oscar nominated film. Opening night is 5 December.
