BroadwayWorld.com had the news first on February 9, thanks to its International reach, but Michael Riedel has confirmed the news and provided more details this morning in the New York Post, that EVITA is indeed headed back to Broadway in 2011 starring Olivier Award winner Elena Roger as Eva Peron.

According to numerous published reports in Spanish media outlets, Olivier Award winning stage star Elena Roger may be bringing her famed Eva Peron to Broadway in Evita in the 2011 - 2012 season.

After a recent national tour David Essex and All The Fun Of The Fair will make its West End Debut at London's Garrick Theatre previewing from 17 April and running until 5 September with press night on 28 April 2010.

Louise English will be starring as the sultry Gypsy, Rosa, in the new Jon Conway musical All the Fun of the Fair, with David Essex as Levi Lee, which will tour the UK from September 2008 through May 2009 and premieres at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley, from 12-20 September.

From We Will Rock You to Jesus Christ Superstar, the evening will include performances from a host of West End and Broadway stars including Kerry Ellis (Wicked, Les Misérables), Olivier Award-winning Philip Quast (Les Misérables, La Cage Aux Folles) and Adam Pascal (Rent), accompanied by the City of London Philharmonic and the massed choirs of Sing Live UK and USA under the musical supervision of the West End maestro, David Firman.

According to a report in London's Daily Mail this morning, powerhouse producer Cameron Mackintosh is planning a big screen version of his international monster hit, Les Miserables. Reportedly, Macintosh has teamed up with the London-based film studio Working Title to collaborate on the project.
