Godspell in Concert will be performed on Monday 19th May 2014 at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue in aid of Make-A-Wish Foundation UK. The show, which was last seen in the West End over 40 years ago, will be introduced by David Essex and feature a West End line-up including Zoe Tyler, Andy Abraham and Stewart Clarke. Special guests include members of the original West End cast, Marti Webb, Gay Soper and Tom Saffery.
For those who don't know, Herbie Flowers & Barry Morgan are giants of the British session and Library worlds. The late Mr. Morgan played with Bowie, Elton John, The Walker brothers, Blue Mink and countless others and Herbie has recorded some of the greatest bass lines in the history of popular music, including Lou Reed “Walk on the wild side,” David Essex “Rock on” and David Bowie “Space Oddity”.
