Starting July 6th at the Provincetown Theater, producer Robert Driemeyer, in association with Jim A. Landé, is proud to present David Parr's provocative new play SLAP&TICKLE. The production will be directed by Obie Award winner David Drake, whose critically acclaimed mounting of Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic OUR TOWN enjoyed a extended run at the Provincetown Theater this spring.

Pride Films and Plays, a new not-for-profit, is proud to announce its inaugural activities as an organization. The first two events scheduled are Five Decades of Great Gay Theater, May 9 - June 13, a series of staged reading of great gay plays, Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 West Belmont*, and the Great Gay Screenplay Contest, held in conjunction with Chicago Filmmakers. The contest seeks new screenplays dealing with gay history, characters or themes and relevant to the world. The semi-finalists will be read this fall during Reeling: The Chicago Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival.

Following a sold-out run in Los Angeles this spring, triple-threat Broadway actor/singer/musician Tom Judson will debut in his new musical comedy Canned Ham in New England for a summer-long run at Provincetown's Art House Theater, 214 Commercial Street, starting on June 6th. The show will perform Sunday and Monday evenings thru Labor Day weekend.

The 55th Annual Village Voice OBIE Awards were presented on Monday, May 17, 2010, at a ceremony held at Webster Hall in Manhattan. Co-hosted by Michael Cerveris and former OBIE winner Anika Noni Rose, the awards were presented by J. Open auditions are being held in Provincetown, MA on Saturday, May 15th from 10AM to 3PM for the summer-run of David Parr's new play Slap&Tickle at the Provincetown Theater, 238 Bradford Street. To be directed by Obie Award winner David Drake, this pre-New York engagement of Slap&Tickle will run Tuesdays thru Saturdays, July 6th thru August 14th at the Provincetown Theater.
