A Celebration of the Life of Doric Wilson will be held on Monday, October 10 at the Lucille Lortel Theater, 121 Christopher St., New York City, from 6-8pm.

The event is free and open to the public; reservations are not required.

Wilson, (February 24, 1939 - May 7, 2011) was an American playwright, director, producer, critic and gay rights activist. Friends and colleagues, including Edward Albee, William Hoffman, Robert Patrick (in a recorded appearance), Caffe Cino colleague Robert Heide, as well as Charles Busch, David Drake, and Joshua Conkel (Milk, Milk Lemonade), Donnetta Lavinia Grays (The New Normal) Daniel Talbott (Slipping) and Chris Weikel (Penny Pennyworth) and others will share memories and stories of his life.
