Brisbane band Sheppard, music writer Glenn A Baker AM, singer Christine Anu and comedian Anne Edmonds have all been added to the line-up for Helpmann Awards Act II on Monday 16 July at the Capitol Theatre Sydney.

This year, the winners of the 2018 Helpmann Awards will be announced at two events over two big nights. Both events will be directed by one of Australia's most internationally renowned producers, Olivier and MTV Award winner, choreographer and director David Atkins OAM. This year, for the first time, the Helpmann Awards will be broadcast live across the country, exclusively on the ABC.

One thing that stood out this year was that Australia's establishment of a multicultural community is of immense value.

On June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court ruled that marriage equality would be the law of the land in America. Three days later, Tom Andersen, an award-winning, out singer-songwriter released a music video that wed his recording of 'Morning Glow' (from 'Pippin') to dozens of images of happy gay couples. The golden-toned tenor said he sought to capture the feel-good euphoria of the LGBT community and its straight allies. Since its posting on YouTube, Andersen says he's heard from fans of the video from all around the world.

Transcendent, two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning rock band Evanescence have released the official music video for their latest single “Hi-Lo”, featuring a virtuosic violin solo by acclaimed Billboard Award-winning electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling. Watch the music video HERE. Off the latest Evanescence album Synthesis, “Hi-Lo” marks the first time front woman Amy Lee and Stirling have collaborated on a track together, and features the full band backed by an orchestra and Lee's signature powerhouse vocals. Directed by P.R. Brown, the video includes live performance footage from Evanescence's critically acclaimed Synthesis tour along with orchestra footage. Stirling makes a cameo to deliver her signature blend of dance moves while performing a powerful electronic violin solo. The song was written by Amy Lee and Will Hunt and arranged by David Campbell.

1975, the debut EP from rising singer-songwriter Billy Raffoul, will be released on June 22 via Interscope Records. The new music is already receiving early critical praise;American Songwriter proclaims Raffoul's track “Could You Be Mine?” is as a “yearning ballad,” while Ones To Watch says, “His gritty voice and guitar-strumming virtuoso will likely paint the picture of a well-seasoned rock & roll veteran.”

Nickelodeon and IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX) have partnered to bring SlimeZone, the network's first multi-player social virtual reality (VR) experience, to IMAX VR Centres globally. Created in the Nickelodeon Entertainment Lab, SlimeZone allows up to six players to step inside the Nickelodeon virtual world, play games, watch cartoons and slime friends.  The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke unite with Roger Daltrey on Sunday, June 17 at 8:00 p.m. (doors at 6:30 p.m.)at Forest Hills Stadium-the historic sporting and entertainment venue located in the Queens, New York neighborhood of Forest Hills-for a special, one-night-only performance of The Who's 'TOMMY'. The orchestra and Daltrey are joined by a band of seasoned Who players, including guitarist/backup singer Simon Townshend, guitarist Frank Simes, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button, and drummer Scott Devours.
