TITAS Presents, in association with the AT&T Performing Arts Center, proudly announced today that it is co-commissioning an evening of new work by Twyla Tharp, one of the most important and influential choreographers of our time. The work will premiere in Dallas at the AT&T Performing Arts Center Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House on September 18 and 19, launching Tharp's Fiftieth Anniversary Tour. The 10-week North American tour will celebrate Tharp's five decades of dance-making for both modern and ballet companies, television, the Broadway stage and Hollywood films.

Houseworld, a new surrealist immersive theater performance, will receive its world premiere at a transformed historic rectory in Brooklyn, October 8-November 21. One by one, 30 guests, greeted by an uncanny cast of characters, will step into a dream world designed to explore different facets of the human psyche. Guests are free to find their own path, from the dark recesses of the basement to the illumination of the attic. Intimate encounters that range from the dark to the delightful seek to ignite the senses and jolt audiences into a different psychic state.

Pearl (www.PearlTheShow.com), a new American-Chinese dance-theatre spectacular, inspired by the life of Pearl S. Buck, the first woman to win both the Nobel and the Pulitzer Prizes, will have its world premiere at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for 4 performances only, August 27-30th. The story, focusing on the substantial influence Pearl had on both Chinese and Western cultures, will be brought to life through new choreography by Daniel Ezralow (Ezralow Dance Company, MOMIX, Sochi Olympics Opening Ceremony, Academy Awards), a new score composed by Jun Miyake (collaborations with Robert Wilson, Pina Bausch, David Byrne and Oliver Stone) dazzling visuals and a company of 30 American and Chinese dancers.

Just announced! The NYC debut of ELIJAH JAMAL QUINTET and Guests performing on Friday, September 4!  The quintet is led by saxophonist and composer Elijah Jamal Balbed, a Washington DC native named 'Best Tenor Saxophonist' and 'Best New Jazz Musician' by the Washington City Paper. 

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) just published Young Jean Lee's WE'RE GONNA DIE. The play premiered in the winter of 2011 at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater in New York City. It has had subsequent productions in cities across the country and around the world including Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Calgary, Seoul, and Brighton.

Talking Heads' David Byrne, who with Fat Boy Slim wrote the cult Imelda Marcos musical HERE LIES LOVE, is bringing the life of another female icon to the stage.

The Public Theater announced the 2015 Fall Public Forum season, featuring an exciting line-up of one-night-only performances and conversations that connect dramatic literature to the way we live now. Now in its sixth year, the popular Public Forum series presents the theater of ideas: conversations and performances with leading voices in politics, media, and the arts.

Crashbox Theater Company will present the World Premiere of KITCHEN SINK EXPERIMENT(S) by Colby Day. Director Andrew J Scoville will stage the production in an authentic Brooklyn apartment with a limited audience of 20 per performance. Previews begin October 16 with opening night slated for Wednesday, October 21 at Brian & Simone's Apartment.
