CBS has announced that on Monday, Dec. 7th,  Jennifer Hudson will appear on LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT for an interview and a performance from the Broadway production of THE COLOR PURPLE.

On this morning's GMA, THE COLOR PURPLE's Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo took to the stage with a powerful performance of the title song. Later, the actors discuss the stage adaptation of the classsic novel.

Due to unprecedented demand, the Menier Chocolate Factory Production of Funny Girl transfers to the Savoy Theatre in London's West End, following the sold out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory which begins later this month. Michael Mayer's production, starring Olivier and BAFTA award-winning actress Sheridan Smith as Fanny Brice and with the cast from the Menier Chocolate Factory, will begin performances at the Savoy Theatre on 9 April 2016 for a strictly limited 12-week run until 2 July 2016. Producers Scott Sanders Productions, Roy Furman, Oprah Winfrey, David Babani, and Tom Siracusa just announced complete casting for this fall's highly anticipated production of THE COLOR PURPLE, directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle.

The box office for the highly anticipated production of THE COLOR PURPLE will open on Tuesday, October 6 at 10:00am at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th street). 

FUNNY GIRL is getting a bit of a makeover! According to Daily Mail columnist Baz Bamigboye, KINKY BOOTS book writer Harvey Fierstein will rework the book for the upcoming (and already sold-out) London revival of Funny Girl, starring Sheridan Smith.

Additional principal casting for this fall's highly anticipated production of THE COLOR PURPLE, directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, has been confirmed.

Produced by Scott Sanders, Roy Furman, Oprah Winfrey, David Babani, and Tom Siracusa, The Color Purple will return to Broadway this fall in the acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory production directed by Two-time Tony Award winner John Doyle. The highly anticipated staging will feature Grammy, Academy Award, and Golden Globe award winner JENNIFER HUDSON; CYNTHIA ERIVO, the breakout star from the London production; and Orange is the New Black's DANIELLE BROOKS. DANIELLE BROOKS, who plays 'Taystee' on the hit TV show, Orange Is the New Black, will make her Broadway debut as 'Sofia' in the upcoming Broadway musical revival of THE COLOR PURPLE. A graduate of the Juilliard School, Ms. Brooks joins the previously announced JENNIFER HUDSON and CYNTHIA ERIVO in the critically acclaimed staging from London's Menier Chocolate Factory.
