Hudson Jeans welcomed HAMILTON Tony winner Daveed Diggs for a performance at Hudson Unfiltered Live on Monday, September 19th, at the Jacob J Javits Convention Center booth. Diggs was joined by artist Rafael Casal and the talented duo performed on behalf of #BARS Workshop NYC (a workshop on rap for musical theater). Scroll down for photos!
Five Student Poets Announced in White House Committee's National Student Poets Program

The fifth annual class of the National Student Poets Program (NSPP) the nation's highest honor for youth poets has been announced by the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities (PCAH) in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the nonprofit Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The students were appointed by First Lady Michelle Obama at a ceremony earlier today in the State Dining Room at the White House. As part of an appointment ceremony, each of the students did a reading of an original poem.

2016 is one of Broadway's most diverse seasons, so much so it spawned a Twitter trending hashtag #TonysSoDiverse following the nominations for this past weekend's awards ceremony. 12 Black and non-Black actors of color were nominated for a Tony Award. For the first time in the Tonys' history, all four musical acting categories were won by Black actors, and if you walk down 45th Street, as soprano Paula Dione Ingram has, the block is lit up by 'Black Broadway.'
It's a laudable moment in a theatre history that has not always been so and still continues to have a long way to go, the subject of Ingram's Dark Legacy: Bright Lights of Black Broadway, her debut show at Feinstein's/54 Below on June 4.
