Krapp, 39 is extending once again, recent Drama Desk nominee, Michael Laurence's Krapp, 39, inspired by Samuel Beckett's Krapp's Last Tape, and directed by George Demas, will be extended again now through August 2, 2009 at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). A highlight of the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival, Krapp, 39 was invited to be part of the Fringe Encores Series; it was then offered a legit Off-Broadway run at the SoHo Playhouse presented by Darren Lee Cole. Krapp, 39's Off-Broadway run began performances on January 13th, and officially opened on January 20, 2009 and has been extended several times since.

Lyric Theatre, Oklahoma?s premiere professional theatre company, will open its 2009 summer season of musicals on Thursday, June 25th with the live stage version of Disney?s High School Musical 2, the second installment of the wildly popular movie series about the adventures and friendships of a group of high school students. Due to Lyric?s success with the 2007 live production of the first High School Musical, the Oklahoma City theatre company was one of the first in the country to be given permission to produce a professional version of the sequel. The Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival opens its 74th year the weekend of February 20-22 and celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Elizabethan Stage. In honor of that milestone, OSF is dedicating the 2009 season to principal theatre and scenic designer, Richard L. Hay, acknowledging his creative work that spans more than 50 years at OSF and includes the design of all three theatre spaces, beginning with the current Elizabethan Stage in 1959, half a century ago.

Casting has been announced for Casa Manana's production of High School Musical. Michael Kadin Craig and Jenny Gulley will lead the cast as Troy and Gabriella. Cameron Wade will play Sharpay Evans and Logan Hart will portray Ryan Evans. The rest of the cast will include Cyndi Steele-Harrod, Brian Mathis, Erica Dorfler, Luke Longacre, Sarah Zeringue, Cori Lynne, Cody Jenkins and Christopher Messina.
