LAByrinth Theater Company (Stephen Adly Guirgis, Mimi O'Donnell & Yul Vázquez, Artistic Directors; Marieke Gaboury Producing Director) continues its fall season with two annual festivals of free staged readings, the Barn Series (October 6 - October 30, 2009) and Live Nude Plays (October 31 - November 3) at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street).

As previously reported, former 'Sex and the City' writers are teaming up to write a weekly downtown theatrical soap titled Cedar City Falls - a Mid-West Conflict with Labyrinth Theater Company members. Performances will be every Tuesday night at 7:00 and 9:30 at the Cell Theater beginning October 6 for four weeks (through October 27) and will continue its final four weeks at Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn ( November 4 - 24).

Liz Tuccillo, along with three other former writers of 'Sex and the City,' have collaborated on the theatrical series CEDAR CITY FALLS: A MIDWEST CONFLICT,' to launch at New York's Cell Theater next month. The project includes the participation of RENT alums Daphne Rubin-Vega and Jesse L. Martin, amongst others.

Emmy Winner Lance Horne brings his night of songs direct from Oz and the West End back to roost at Joe's Pub, where it all began. Scheduled to appear are Alan Cumming, Michael Urie, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Nathan Lee Graham, and Cheyenne Jackson. The evening is set for Friday, September 18 at 9:30pm.

Sergio Trujillo, the acclaimed choreographer of Jersey Boys, Next to Normal and the forthcoming musicals The Addams Family and Memphis, will make his directorial debut with Havana, a new musical (not based on the film of the same name) with a book by Pulitzer Prize-winning Cuban author Nilo Cruz, music by internationally-renowned Frank Wildhorn and lyrics by Jack Murphy. Produced by Kathleen Raitt, William Franzblau/Jay Harris, Ben Sprecher/Louise Forlenza and Steven E. Leber/Jordan Leber, Havana, which is aiming for the 2010-11 Broadway season, will have a private industry presentation this week in New York.
