Local One of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) marks a remarkable century and a quarter as the first and foremost stagecraft labor union on Sunday evening, April 17, at 5:00pm with a star-studded gala celebration in the grand ballroom of the Hilton Hotel, 1335 Avenue of the America in New York City.

We're proud to announce that 12 of our undergraduate dance students will travel east this week to perform the Alwin Nikolais dance work 'Water Studies' as part of the 'Sharing the Legacy' conference April 15-16 at Hunter College in Manhattan.

One Night With Fanny Brice, a new musical play written, arranged, and directed by Chip Deffaa, will make its Off-Broadway debut beginning March 16th at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street (between Eighth & Ninth Avenues).

The Actors Fund is hosting another Musical Monday at The Pantages, celebrating the life and career of beloved composer and lyricist, Billy Barnes with a special evening of 'Billy Barnes and Friends.' Joining Billy will be Eileen Barnett, Carole Cook, Nancy Dussault, Jane A. Johnston, Karen Morrow, Barry Williams and JoAnne Worley with others to follow.

'DANNY and SYLVIA: THE DANNY KAYE MUSICAL' the long-running off-Broadway musical at the St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street, will begin playing Saturdays at 5 PM as of March 19th. Also of note, Kimberly Faye Greenberg, who co-stars as ‘Sylvia Fine', is also playing the title role in the new musical 'One Night with Fanny Brice' at St Luke's Theatre, thus becoming the only actress in New York to be playing leading roles in two legit musicals at the same time! (And in the same theatre!)

Born in Texas, but a Nashvillian through-and-through, Jake Speck might look like your stereotypical matinee idol - tall and good-looking - but there's a certain affable goofiness about him that completely blows the stereotype out of the water. You can't help but like the guy! Add to that immense likability factor a whole bunch of talent and you have a very formidable force of nature in the person of Jake Speck.
