Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) is producing the classic holiday story White Christmas, running December 6 - 18 at the Hobby Center for The Performing Arts.

'DANNY and SYLVIA: THE DANNY KAYE MUSICAL', the long-running musical at the St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street, has a new performance schedule. The show, currently playing Sundays at 4:30 pm, will switch to playing Saturday matinees at 2 PM on Saturday, September 10th. (The final Sunday performance will be this Sunday, Sept 4.)

A.R.T. American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) opens its 2011-12 season with The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, by George Gershwin, DuBose and Dorothy Heyward, and Ira Gershwin. The adaptation by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks and Obie Award-winning composer Diedre L. Murray, directed by A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus, with choreography by Ronald K. Brown, begins previews on August 17 and opens for the reviewing press on August 31 at 7pm. Performances are at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge. Tickets for preview performances are currently on sale, remaining tickets for the run go on sale on July 12. AL JOLSON, once dubbed as The World's Greatest Entertainer, will return to North Hollywood at the historic El Portal Theatre in the person of critically acclaimed Broadway actor, MIKE BURSTYN (Winner of Two Israeli 'Oscars'; Broadway: Barnum; Off-Broadway: Lansky) starring in the titular role as Al Jolson. The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced a full slate of musical productions, a developmental reading series and special events for their eighth annual festival. This year's Festival will begin September 26th and continue through October 16th.

Stage and screen star Ben Stiller, who waspreviously announced to star in 20th Century Fox's remake of 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,' will also direct the project, according to Variety.
